BLU Energy X Troubleshooting

When the power button is pressed, nothing happens

The phone has an expected battery life of three days with normal usage. A new BLU Energy X comes with a micro USB charger but any equivalent micro USB charger will also work. Plug the charger into an outlet and the phone into the charger and it should be ready for use in a couple of hours.

The extended lifetime of a battery is limited and dependent on usage and charging habits. Though the BLU Energy X has a"Super Battery" it is technically not removable. Removing the battery will result in a voided phone warranty. If the battery is drained the phone can either be sent back to BLU for repair in order to maintain the warranty on the phone or the battery can be replaced using the BLU Energy X Battery Replacement Guide.

If charging the phone and replacing the battery has not resolved the issue, the screen may need to be replaced with anew one.

The motherboard in the phone may be damaged, causing it to not respond when pressing the power button. If this is the case the motherboard will need to be replaced. Use the Motherboard Replacement guide to assist with the replacement.

When the phone is connected to a charger it does not charge the battery

If the phone charger has exposed wires or if there are any spots in the wire that have been repeatably bent, there may be damage to the charger preventing it from sufficiently charging the device. Plugging the phone into a different micro-USB charger that does not show any signs of damage should allow it to charge.

When attempting to connect to the internet through wifi, the phone fails to connect

Often times wifi routers are the cause connection issues. Check to see if the signal from the wifi router is strong enough to use. If access to the wifi router is available reset the router.

Verify with the owner of the wifi router that the password being used is correct. If not, use the new password they give to you.

Turn the wifi setting on the phone off then on again. Attempt the connect to wifi. If the phone does not connect, check the proxy setting and turn it off

While using the phone, the screen either temporarily freezes for a few seconds, or the screen permanently freezes and is unresponsive

Smart phones are great tools because applications allow for users to do some many different things and entertain themselves in many different ways. If too many applications are open at once, the phone may not be able to keep up and freeze. If the screen is temporarily freezing, close some of the applications that are not being used. If the screen freezes and the phone becomes completely unresponsive, turn the phone off by either holding down the power button or removing the battery. Restart the phone, and it should run normally.

While on the home screen, press the rightmost button at the bottom of the screen (it is in the shape of a square). This will bring up a list of apps currently in use. Swipe to the left or right of the app to close it. You can also select the 'x' button in the top right corner.

If the phone has been through a traumatic such as a fall some of the internal components may have been damaged, causing the phone to not respond properly. If this is the case the motherboard will need to be replaced.

When using the camera on the phone the image appears but it is unable to focus

If the phone has been through some rough times such as serious falls or hard hits, the camera could have been damaged preventing it from focusing while in use.
