Replaced the battery with new iFixit battery and when system starts to boot (still at Apple logo), fans turn on full and stay on full after OS startup. After boot, battery icon is showing an X and shows battery service recommended in system settings.

Battery data cable/connector problem perhaps?

Here's a snap of Coconut battery as requested. Also note that when I seated the battery data cable into the zif socket on the logic board side, the zif lock piece went flying when I pushed it down. Cable seems to be seated ok otherwise...

Lift the buckle lock slightly out of its slot in the charging rail, just until the spring is exposed enough that you can grab it with tweezers.

Grab the buckle lock such that the tweezers are around both sides of the lock and holding the spring inside the lock.

When you pull the lock out, the spring can shoot out. Make sure you have a firm grip with the tweezers.

Pull the buckle lock out of its slot in the charging rail.

During reassembly, make sure to move [link|https://guide-images.cdn.ifixit.com/igi/4py6NLNtLKFjUJo5.full|the spring|new_window=true] from the old lock to the new one.

So, I purchased the ps3 off a friend for 20 dollars knowing it was broken I switched the cables, and it worked with no issues however when I bought a dual layered disk like god of war 3 it will not read it at all I researched it and everyone says its the Lazer so I installed a new Lazer (the Lazer is here)(Sony KEM-850 PHA Laser Lens Blu-Ray DVD Deck for PlayStation 3 CECH 4001A 4001B) after installing the laser it does the same thing as before I tried with another ps3 super slim but it also does the same thing if it's a single layered disk it will read it but if it's a dual layered disk it will not I feel like maybe it's the laser, there are brand new cables and everything should be fine but for some reason it just will not read them I have looked at the board and don't notice anything and no one has said anything about those blue ray chips going out so I am at a loss and am looking for anything.

P.S I have cleaned the games and the Lazer unplugged and replunged everything and did the system reset thing nothing has worked.
