BolaButty X-GO C27-C Repair

The BolaButty X-GO C27-C is a portable, water resistant speaker designed to be a budget-conscious alternative to big name brands that can still deliver quality, powerful sound. It is marketed as a durable system that’s suitable for a variety of outdoor environments. The device can pair to a second X-GO speaker to create a surround-sound experience.

The speaker can connect to any device with Bluetooth output. It has a range of 100 feet and its two lithium ion batteries deliver a battery life of up to 24 hours. The device is 7.87 inches long,  weighs 1.98 pounds and has a black, plastic exterior with a triangular design.

BolaButty is a relatively unknown Chinese company compared to other popular western speaker brands. The C27-C was released in 2024 alongside a second X-GO model with the same name, so it may be difficult to identify. Other than the shape, the two devices are nearly indistinguishable, with the only real difference being the waterproof rating. This device has a rating of IPX5 while the other has a rating of IPX7. They retail for the same price and have close to the same specs. It should also be noted that only the one with the IPX5 rating is available at retailers, while the IPX7 only exists on a minimalized shopify page, where it is listed at a price over $100 more than on Amazon. It’s possible that the IPX7 doesn’t physically exist.

The BolaButty X-GO C27-C has a triangular prism shape with RGB lights on both ends. It also has an LED indicator light and 5 buttons on the top. The brand name "BolaButty" is printed on the front speaker cover. The device’s name: “X-GO”, and model: “C27-C” can be found on the bottom of the speaker. It may come in one of any of five different colors: black, teal, blue, pink, or red.
