Is your BolaButty X-GO C27-C failing to connect via Bluetooth? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Devices Bot Powered On
Make sure that both the speaker and other device you are attempting to connect are powered on. The lights on the side of the speaker should be on, and the light next to the power button should be blinking.
Not in Pairing Mode
Before connecting, the speaker must be in pairing mode. The light next to the power button should be quickly blinking blue to indicate pairing mode. The light will blink slower once connected.
- Ensure no other devices are already connected to the speaker.
- Turn the speaker off and on again, and it should enter pairing mode.
Not Connecting to the Correct Device
Make sure you are connecting to the correct device. When you are trying to pair with the other device, this speaker should be listed as “X-GO” in the list of Bluetooth devices.
Make sure no other unwanted devices are already connected to the speaker. If there is an aux cord plugged in to the speaker, unplug it. Then unpair any other Bluetooth devices from the speaker.
Devices Are too Far Apart
If the device you are trying to connect to the speaker is too far away they may not be able to connect. Try bringing the two devices within a few feet of each other to determine if the distance is the issue. Your speaker should have a range of about 30 feet, but interference in the area may reduce the range.
Software Bug
If the device is having a software problem, performing a reset may fix it. Press and hold the power button for at least eight seconds to perform a reset. Then power the speaker on again and attempt to connect.
Motherboard or Bluetooth Chip Broken
If all else fails, the speakers motherboard or Bluetooth chip may be damaged or defective and need to be replaced. Check out the replacement guide [insert link here]
