Device Won't Power On
The device won't respond when you press the power button, or doesn't respond to the power adapter being plugged in.
Faulty Power Adapter
The device should respond when you plug in the power adapter. If this doesn’t happen, you may have a bad power adapter. The power adapter is a standard Micro USB, which most phones use for charging. Try switching the cable to see if you get any response. If it still doesn’t respond, you may need to replace the battery.
Faulty Battery
If the battery isn’t holding a charge, or not charging at all, it is most likely faulty. Follow this guide to see how to replace it.
Faulty Display
The screen is cracked, non-responsive to touch, or doesn’t display anything even though the device is powered on.
Screen Replacement
A cracked screen will need replacing, and if the screen is unresponsive to touch, replacing it may be the solution. You can follow our replacement guide here. If you replaced the screen, but the display still isn’t behaving properly, move on to the motherboard replacement guide below.
The device powers on, but doesn’t behave as expected
The device is powering on correctly, the screen shows no signs of being faulty, but the software is not working as it should. Buttons may be non-responsive, and the device may be unusually slow.
Faulty Motherboard
You will be unable to replace specific parts on the motherboard, so a full tear down and replacement will be necessary. You can follow our guide here.
Faulty Camera
The camera is failing to take pictures, images are distorted, or there seems to be particles in the photos taken.
Camera Replacement
If images are not coming out right, you will have to replace the camera module.
Plastic Cover is Broken
The blue plastic cover is broken, cracked, or the hinges have become disconnected.

My daughter in notable is doing this, when dragging her icon to the “circle" it won't stay there, icon just goes back to original position. I have tried turning off/on etc, nothing fixes.

Check “Time Limits" in parental controls menu.
Tablet is time limited unless otherwise set by parent.

For anyone else having this problem I just fixed it, the time limits in the parental controls were set to to 0hrs 0mins meaning they can not logon!!! Check your time limits and set them not only to what time the child can use but also the total amount of time per day

Have two units and can not get replacement batteries anywhere. They are boat anchors without a new polymer lithium ion three wire connectorized battery.
Vtech should be ashamed of themselves for not supporting their products better.
Will not buy from them again.

Need some help if poss. Bought daughter innotab for Christmas. Charged for 4.5 hours, charging worked fine. It crashed while downloading the firmware and now it won’t turn back on. Tried the factory reset and this doesn’t work either. Help!

The kidi com Max turns on and then when you get to the main screen to choose an app the screen goes black. The touch screen seems to be working ok as you get onto the main screen.
