OontZ Angle 3 Will Not Turn On
OontZ Angle 3 will not respond to the power button
Battery May Need to be Charged
The OontZ Angle 3 may just need to be recharged in order to respond to the power button. Try plugging it in with any micro USB charger and the OontZ Angle 3 should be able to be turned on.
May Have Gotten Wet/Submerged in Water
While the OontZ Angle 3 is water resistant, it is definitely not waterproof. If it has gotten wet or has been submerged in water it may not turn on. Give it time to try and dry out. If it continues to not respond, use the Motherboard Replacement Guide to replace the water damaged motherboard and resolve the issue.
Battery May Need to be Replaced
If the OontZ Angle 3 doesn’t respond after being plugged into a charger, it may be that the battery itself has to be replaced. Use the Battery Replacement Guide to change the battery and try charging then.
Motherboard May Need to be Replaced
If none of the above work, the issue is then with the motherboard itself not responding to the power button. Use the Motherboard Replacement Guideto replace the faulty motherboard and the issue should be resolved.
OontZ Angle 3 Will Not Connect to Device
Device is not able to connect to the OontZ Angle 3 or the speaker will not respond to the device.
Check Device’s Bluetooth
The simplest issue with connectivity issues is just the device not having it’s Bluetooth on to connect with the OontZ Angle 3. Check and see if the device’s Bluetooth is on and turn it on if it isn’t.
Clear Obstructions Between the Device and the OontZ Angle 3
If there are objects in between the device and the OontZ Angle 3 or if the device and the OontZ Angle 3 are out of range of one another the Bluetooth connection may be too weak to connect the devices. Try clearing obstructions and keeping the speaker near the device to maintain a strong connection.
OontZ Angle 3 May Be Connected to Another Device
The OontZ Angle 3 is only able to connect via Bluetooth to one device at a time. If it is connected to another device, simply hold the Bluetooth button down for 5 seconds to disconnect it from the other device.
Device May Be Trying to Play on more than One Speaker
The OontZ Angle 3 is only able to work if the device isn’t connected to/trying to play music through other speakers. Just disconnect the device from these other sources and the OontZ Angle 3 should automatically connect.
Motherboard May Need to be Replaced
If none of the above resolve the issue, the motherboard itself may be unable to allow a Bluetooth connection to work. Use the Motherboard Replacement Guide to replace the faulty motherboard and the device should be able to connect to the OontZ Angle 3.
Volume Controls Do Not Work
The volume buttons on the OontZ Angle 3 don’t respond to being pressed/don’t change the volume of the speaker.
Connected to OontZ Angle 3 via Auxiliary Cord
If the device is connected to the OontZ Angle 3 via an auxiliary cord instead of Bluetooth, the volume controls are on the device itself, not the OontZ Angle 3. If the device is reconnected via Bluetooth the volume controls on the speaker should begin responding.
Motherboard May Need to be Replaced
If the device is connected with Bluetooth and the volume controls still don’t work, the issue is in the motherboard not responding to the buttons being pressed. Use the Motherboard Replacement Guide to replace the faulty motherboard and the volume controls should start being registered.
Speaker Sound is Distorted/Muffled
The sound quality of the speakers isn’t very good, either through distorting the sound or by the sound being muffled and hard to hear clearly.
Clear Obstructions Between the Device and the OontZ Angle 3

The sound coming from the speakers can come out distorted or muffled due to there being a buildup of dust or dirt on the speakers. Use the Speaker Replacement Guide to open up access to the speakers and clean out whatever dust or dirt may be present.
Connection Between Speakers and Motherboard May be Faulty
If the connection between the speakers and the motherboard is faulty, distorted sound or no sound at all could be a result. Use the Speaker Replacement Guide to open up the OontZ Angle 3 and check the connection. If it appears to be faulty or not connected properly, use the same guide to repair the connection and the sound quality should improve.
Speakers May Need to be Replaced
The speakers themselves could be faulty, and as such cause the sound quality to be poor. Use the Speaker Replacement Guide to replace the faulty speakers and the sound quality should improve.
Motherboard May Need to be Replaced
If no other solution fixes the issue, the motherboard itself is the issue with the faulty sound quality of the speakers. Use the Motherboard Replacement Guideto replace the faulty motherboard and the sound quality issues should be resolved.

Happening to me too. The speaker works, though, if i use the 3mm jack to connect to my device. Now I think there's something wrong with the bluetooth receiver of the speaker, it might require a motherboard replacement

I have the 3xl version and i was playing music with it charging and all of the sudden it started puffing out smoke in all directions it still kept playing music but i turned it off to cool and unplugged it after letting it cool for a few minutes it no longer smoked any ideas what the problem could be.

I'm trying to connect two Angle 3XL ULTRA speakers, All works well until the point where the control speaker should connect with the slave. The control speaker says dual pairing, the white light blinks and eventually times out. Control Blue light remains solid and the slave Blue light continues to blink. I fully charged both speakers and tried to down load the latest firmware update (which didn’t work either). Was I sold lemons?

My new Samsung a54 phone worked fine both for phone calls and videos with the Oontz speaker. I switched speaker connections back and forth many times between the phone and the laptop without a problem. Now I find that videos on the phone won't play through it but even now phone calls WILL still play through it.
