Phone Won't Turn On
The screen does not respond when you hold down the power button.
Un-Charged Battery
Plug in the phone to make sure your battery is fully charged. Then try turning it on again.
Wrong Charger
If the phone is plugged in and doesn't charge, you should try a different charger. Make sure you are using a Micro USB phone charger.
Battery Problems
If the battery won't hold charge, it could be faulty. Check if the battery has dust or a bad connection. Try cleaning the battery and the reservoir with a silk cloth and/or an aerosol can. If you are still having problems, you can always replace the battery.
USB Port Problems
Try cleaning the USB port. If this doesn't work and the phone doesn't charge, then replace the Micro USB port.
Phone Doesn't Have Service
Phone can turn on but cannot make a call, text, or displays zero bars.
Out Of Service Range
If you are in a remote location, you may not have cell service.
Airplane Mode Is Turned On
Press and hold the power button to bring up the device options menu. Make sure airplane mode is turned off.
Antenna Obstruction
The antenna is on the top-right corner on the back of the device. Make sure no metal is covering it when calling.
SIM Card Not Inserted Properly
If airplane mode is off and you still have no reception in a serviceable area, check your SIM card and make sure it's fully inserted. The phone should give a message that no SIM card is installed.
If it isn't fitting (or you don't have one) and you still get the message for no SIM card, install a new SIM card.
Faulty Or Corroded Antenna
If the problem is not fixed, you might want to replace the antenna.
Screen Is Not Responding When Touched
The touch screen is unresponsive.
Dirty Screen
First try cleaning the screen to remove any dirt or residue. Use minimal amounts of liquid to avoid damaging inner electrical components.
Case Or Cover
A case or a cover could cause problems with touch reception. Try taking these off and see if the screen is responsive.
Software Problem
Restart the device by holding down the power button. If the screen still doesn't respond, do a factory reset. You can perform a factory reset by following Radioshack's steps to performing a hard reset.
Unable To Receive Texts Or Download Applications
The phone has low memory.
Memory Card Is Too Small
Check that the memory card has free space through the phone's settings.
Memory Card Not Inserted Properly
Low memory can be caused by the memory card not fitting properly. If it is, you can get try replacing the SD card.
The Sound Is Distorted Or Difficult To Hear
The phone's sound is not normal.
Dirty Speaker
Clean the speaker on the top of the phone with aerosol and a Q-tip.
Broken Speaker
If the problem is not resolved, you can replace the headphone jack and earpiece.
