Unable to Connect to Bluetooth

Bluetooth is unresponsive to other devices.

Bluetooth Device is Not Recognized

To reset the Bluetooth connection on the Tough XL, hold the Bluetooth button and the action button at the same time for 10 seconds. This will allow the device to reset without disconnecting from the device you’re syncing with.

Audio Cable is Plugged In

Make sure that no audio cables are connected to the speaker. The speakers Bluetooth may not work if there is an audio cable connected.

Defective Motherboard

Your device's motherboard may be defective. You will have to remove the shell of the device and replace a new motherboard for the speaker. Using this guide

Battery is Not Charging When Plugged Into Outlet

Fugoo will not charge battery despite being plugged in.

Incompatible Charger

Make sure that you are using the two prong charger that Fugoo sent with the device. Other chargers may make the device charge at a much slower rate, or not at all.

Charging Port

In this scenario, it might be necessary to replace or fix the charging port. Replacing the charging port will require tools and new parts from Fugoo.

Speaker Not Loud Enough

You have trouble listening to sounds from the speaker.

Volume Set to Low or Mute on Device and Speaker

Look at the device (cell phone, laptop, or other Bluetooth device) you have paired to the Fugoo speaker; make sure the volume is turned up on your device. It does not have to be turned all the way up but should be turned up at least 50%. Once volume on paired device is turned up, make sure that the volume on the speaker itself is turned up.

Speakers Needs to Be Reset

Whenever the speaker is abnormally quiet, you should first reset the speaker. Hold the Bluetooth and action buttons, located on top of the speaker, for ten seconds. This resets the speakers' processor, without clearing its pairing list.

Damaged Inner Speaker

Replace the inner speakers entirely. You will have to remove the shell of the device and open the device up to gain access to the smaller speakers within the device. Tweeter Replacement Sub Replacement

Battery is Not Lasting Long Enough

Fugoo power draining when not plugged into an electrical socket.

Faulty Battery

Your device may have batteries that are old or not working properly. You will have to remove the shell of the device and replace a new battery for the speaker. Using this guide

Battery Reset

Plug your Fugoo device into the wall. This may allow the speaker to reset, and the firmware will be able to troubleshoot the problem for you.

Buttons Getting Stuck

Fugoo buttons are not responsive to touch.

Reset Device

In this case, it could be possible that your device needs to be reset. To reset the device, you will either have to hold down the action button or allow it to die completely and then charge it back up.

Faulty Buttons

Remove shell of Tough XL and make sure buttons are making contact with sensors. The case may have to be replaced with a new external case for the speaker. Using this guide
