A touch screen display is usually made with three main parts. The protective glass sheet, the digitizer sheet, and the LCD. The digitizer is a thin transparent sheet that is adhered to the protective glass sheet with a transparent conductive adhesive. The digitizer is the only part of the display assembly that is responsible for sensing touch. Since the human touch is conductive it allows the screen to sense the location you touch. The LCD is only responsible for displaying the image on the screen. If the screen is not responding to touch then usually the digitizer is damaged or faulty. Usually a damaged or cracked LCD will display a distorted image or no image at all. So if the phone displays a good image but does not respond to touch then you may have the option of only replacing the digitizer. It's not as easy of a repair as replacing the whole display but is cheaper. A new digitizer part already has the digitizer sheet adhered to a protective sheet of glass. If a person can remove the faulty digitizer from the phone without damaging the LCD then it is surely more cost effective repair. Some displays have the digitizer fused to the LCD which makes it hard not to damage the LCD if trying to remove the digitizer. If that is the case with your phone's display it is a lot easier to just replace the whole display. Hope this information is helpful.

My Redmi 13 C has broken it's display what should I do?

I haven't opened up the TV yet, but I'm to the point that I'm thinking I am gonna have too. I'm looking for anyone to point me in the right direction to help make repairs quicker or to tell me which board tk start with or if it's not worth the cost of repairs but i have a hunch that it is repairable.

Here's the issue...

The backlight will shutoff after about 5 to 10 minutes while using my PS5. The time it takes to shut off isn't consistent. It can take 5 mins to 30 mins even, but it keeps shutting off while operating my PS5. I tried different HDMI ports, adjusting TV settings, reboots, a factory-reset, different PS5 output settings, different HDMI cords, different TV/Consoles, I've deactivated all CEC communications, all timers on both the TV and console, I've tried adjusting its mounting, I've checked its power cable and wall outlet, I've performed flashlight tests to confirm it is the backlight shutting off, I've updated it, I even attempted adjusting picture settings and backlight settings...

The only thing that I can find is that the issue seems to stop while using any native apps on the TV... which is why I'm here. It's strange. To get the backlights to turn back on I just have to restart the TV, unfortunately it is the only way I've found so far to re-active them once shut off. Disconnecting HDMIs, changing inputs, picture settings, or switching to native apps doesn't turn it back on, so I think it might be an issue on one of the boards.

My hope is that it might be a faulty component and a quick solder fix, perhaps a short caused by an HDMI cable. I don't think it is the backlights (or hope it isn't), it consistently restarts when the TV is turned back on, no flashing, dimming or other signs that the backlights are going bad, but perhaps it is faulty and keeps tripping something, however that doesn't explain why TV apps work...

Perhaps it is triggered by the PS5 HDR? But I deactivated HDR, lowered resolutions, lowered refresh rates... I mean, I'm really good at troubleshooting and isolating issues. I was thorough this time because the TV is mounted (which could be a potential cause of the problem) but it'll be a pain to take down, open up, repair, and remount. I'd rather fix it without that, but I'm 90% certain it needs opened up, and I guess I just want to speed up the troubleshooting process once opened up...

Where should I look first? Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated, or if anyone has any other possible ideas for fixes, let me know.

OK, so I took off the back panel and took pictures of the exposed boards without removing them. If you need close up photos of specific sections, let me know.

My hp 630 laptop doesn't power on I visually checked on the board and saw a burnt regulator , after removing it , it stated misbehaving , I have been experiencing shortages on the board , even the charging ic is becoming very hot , I also noticed that a mosefet on the input circuit died and replaced it still more the laptop doesn't work what shud I do.

Hey, I have a BenQ RL2450HT Monitor (Manufactured Oct 2012). It recently started acting up. The symptoms come randomly and usually go away after unplugging it form power for a short while and then plugging it back in. The symptoms include:

• Short blackscreens
• Permanent blackscreens unil I power cycle (power LED stays green)
• Unresponsive buttons (including power)
• OSD Displaying (with unresponsive buttons)
• (once) the screen turned all white

As it is now 11-12 years old, I am suspecting that some capacitors have gone bad and would like to look at them/replace them. However, I cannot figure out how to open this specific monitor. For most monitors it is easy to spot the line where the plastic clips hide, but I am unable here.

I Suspect that the clips hide somewhere around the green or orange lines (next image). However, I cannot fit anything in there.

Does anyone have experience with disassembling such a monitor/can give me any hints? (Also tell me if you think the issue aren't the capacitors)
