Background
Device Name: UP! Plus 2
Release Date: June 1st, 2013
This particular 3D printer was the first to offer automatic bed leveling and automatic height adjustments, making it one of the easiest 3D printers to use on the market to date.
The earliest revisions of the printer came with optical height detection switches for the auto-leveling process, which were later replaced by the more precise mechanical switches. However, the version with the height detection switch will not affect your repairs, as the switch is an external part that is only used during the auto-leveling process.
Identification
You can identify your UP! Plus 2 by the model, 3DP-14-4D, and serial numbers printed on a label located on the back of the 3D printer. This model has an off-white, metal body with a black printing platform in the front and the spool holder on the side of the device. The web address PP3DP.com is stamped on the side of the print head cover.
