Background
The Dewalt DW511 hammer drill has a 7.8 amp motor. The drill is capable of fast response on concrete and wood. It includes a variable speed trigger for precise control as well as two drilling modes, standard and hammer, making it possible to drill in wood, steel, and other materials. Its 360 degree side handle allows multiple hand position options for the user. This drill was first released in September of 2004 coming with various components such as a Chuck Key, Handle Assembly, a Depth Gauge, and unlike most drills having a battery, the drills most identifying feature is the power cord coming out from the bottom of the handle.
