The seat will not fold down and the front wheel is stuck in the drive position.

Do not attempt to unlock the Fold Lock while sitting or leaning on the seat. Doing so applies to much pressure to be able to release the locking mechanism. Stand besides the bike and pull up on the Fold Lock to collapse the bike.

Push down on the Fold Lock and then attempt to pull up in order to release the lock. If the Fold Lock has dirt or sand in the mechanism, folding will become quite difficult. Compressed air directed under the Fold Lock Handle can help to clean out the debris.

If the bike was recently exposed to water, allow the device to fully dry before attempting to collapse it. Compressed air or a blow dryer can help to speed up the process for drying the bike.

When you pull the brakes, the bike continues to move forward without slowing down.

Pull the brakes until the handle stops moving or the bike begins to slow down.

If the brake bar can be pulled to the handle, the brakes may be too loose. Check the brakes while pulling them, to see if enough force is applied. Tighten the steel cable of the brakes by loosening the grip nut with an Allen wrench and pulling more of the steel cable past the grip. For more help, check this device page guide.

The brake pads are carefully calibrated to a certain height to ensure that pressure pushes on the wheel. If the brake handle can be pulled to the handlebar, the brake is too loose. Check that the brake pads are only 1-2 mm away from the wheel. Adjust your brake controller to maintain this distance.

Remove the brake frame and follow the cable. If the cable is cut, the brakes need to be replaced. Follow our replacement guide.

When you turn the ignition, the bike does not light up or turn on.

If the LED display is not on, that means that the bike is not on. Turn on the bike by inserting the key into the ignition and turning it clockwise.

Pushing too hard on the ignition can cause it to slip into the frame. You will have to repair it yourself following this guide.

Full charge gives you about 10 miles; battery can be recharged using the charger that comes with the bike. If the battery is left uncharged for over six months, it becomes defective and it won’t recharge. In this case, it needs to be replaced using this guide.

The front light is unresponsive or does not turn on when the bike is running.

Open the back of the front frame by removing the screws. Follow the wiring from the battery to the front light bulb. Make sure that the wires are properly connected and intact.

You’ve charged the bike for the recommended time, but the battery is dying too quickly.

If the bike has been kept in a cold environment, it could reduce the quality of the product and cause the battery to die quickly. Make sure to keep the bike out of the cold and the rain to ensure optimal quality.

Move the charger to a separate plug and recharge. If the battery continues to die, the charger is faulty and needs to be replaced. This can be ordered online.

Leaving the bike in the heat can result in the battery to rupture and leak, thus corroding the battery. The best thing to do in this case it to replace the battery, which you can do by following this guide.

Batteries have a recommended amount of charge cycles before the battery begins to deteriorate. If the battery is quite old, or undergone a number of recharges, consider replacing the battery. You can find a guide to do so at this guide.
