Emerson EM744 Troubleshooting

Emerson EM744 screen won't light up, device won't boot up.

Ensure that the Emerson EM744 Tablet’s battery is not dead, and can hold a charge. Attempt to charge your device and try to turn it on after a few moments of charging. If the device wont turn on due to a bad power supply, you can use this guide to replace the battery.

If Emerson EM744 wont respond to the power button, there may be a connection problem between the power button and the mother board. If this is the issue, you may need to replace it.

Attempt to turn up the brightness. It might be able to see the brightness meter by going into a dark room and looking at your tablet.

Sound is distorted or isn’t working at all.

When sounds are distorted (popping, scratching, muffled, etc.) or have stopped working, the speaker in the tablet may have become damaged and is unable to work. If you hear any of these distortions the speaker may be damaged or broken. Use this guide to replace the speaker in the Emerson EM744.

Emerson EM744 won't respond to charger.

Ensure that the Emerson EM744 Tablet’s battery is not dead, and can hold a charge. Attempt to charge your device and try to turn it on after a few moments of charging. If the device wont turn on due to a bad power supply, you may need to replace the battery.

Ensure that the device is plugged into the electrical outlet or USB port, correctly.

To avoid charging issues, use official chargers with the tablet.

The mother board is slightly melted where it connects to the charging port. This will make charging impossible as there in no longer a connection to the charger. Use this guide to swap out the mother board.

The Emerson EM744 cameras won't feed image or display proper image.

Emerson EM744 cameras may be damaged. To replace the cameras, follow this guide.

Try wiping off the camera lens. This could be the cause of the blurry pictures.

The device is unable to find or connect to any wireless networks.

You may not be able to connect to the Wi-Fi because your wireless router is not working properly. Try resetting your wireless router.

The correct Wi-Fi settings may have been corrupted or accidentally changed. Reset to the default network settings, choose the desired network you wish to connect with, and enter the wireless network password.
