Projector Will Not Turn On
The projector will not respond or show any sign of powering on
Dead Battery in the Remote
If the projector does not power on after pressing the on button on the remote, the battery may be dead. Locate the power switch on the top of the projector and press it. If the projector turns on, replace the battery in the remote.
Power Adapter Switch in Not in the On Position
If the problem persists, the switch for the power adapter may not be on. Locate the power adapter switch on the back of the projector below the power cord and ensure it is switched to the on position.
Faulty Power Cord
Check if the power supply cable is in working condition. If noticeable wire wear and cuts are present in the power supply cable then getting a new cable might fix the issue. In addition, check all other cables connected to the projector for such wire deterioration. Next, check that all wires are properly connected to their corresponding ports.
Dust Trapped in Projector
If the problem persists, check if the projector has accumulated dust. If so, service the projector and get as much dust out as possible. Remove dust from the projector vents and filters.
Faulty Motherboard
If none of these steps work, the motherboard may need to be replaced.
No Image is Being Displayed
No image is being displayed, but the projector is on
Source Selection
If the projector turns on, but there is no image being displayed, the projector may be set to the wrong source. Use the source select button on the remote to ensure that the correct source is selected.
Faulty Bulb
If the problem persists, the bulb may be faulty. Remove the bulb and look for a broken element or fogging inside the bulb. Replace the bulb if needed.
No Sound
There is no sound, but the projector is on
Volume Control
If the projector turns on and displays an image, but there is no sound, the projector or the source may be muted. Make sure that the mute is not activated and that the volumes on the projector and the source player are turned up to an adequate level.
Dolby Digital is Turned On
The RD-810 is not able to play Dolby Digital sounds. If you are connected to an AppleTV, Amazon Firestick, or a blu-ray player, make sure that Dolby Digital is turned off in the source player.
Faulty Speaker
If the sound is still not working correctly, the speaker may be faulty. Replace it if necessary.
Image is Blurry
The image is distorted, blurry, or discolored
Display is Distorted, Blurry, or Discolored
If the image displayed by the projector is distorted, blurry, or discolored, the settings on the source may not be set correctly. If you are using a laptop or PC as the source, make sure that the display resolution of the computer is set to either 800*600 or 1024*768.
Out of Focus
If the image is still blurry, the projector may be out of focus. Locate the focus and keystone levers on the top of the projector and adjust them to bring the image into focus. Use the keystone lever for large adjustments and the focus lever for finer adjustments.
Cracked Lens
If the image still does not look correct, the lens may be cracked or have other issues. Check the lens for cracks or smudges. Replace it if necessary.
Distorted Sound
