Starting with the Kindle turned off, press and hold “Volume Down” and “Power”at the same time.
The Amazon system recovery screen should appear. Use the volume buttons to switch to the “wipe data/factory reset“.
Press the “Power” button to choose the selection.
Use the volume buttons to toggle the selection to “Yes — delete all user data“.
Press “Power“.
