My screen only turns on when connected to power?

HI

My device will power up fine when plugged in but as soon as it goes to sleep when not in use, the screen won't light up again unless I plug it into power for 1 second. It stay lit when I pull the power cord out so I can use it, but as soon as it falls asleep, I have to find a quick power connection again? Is there a setting messed up? thanks

@kbravo, that could point to a bad battery. I would start with that. Of course you already made sure that you have a good cable and that your tablet charges properly.....
