How to measure capacitance (large capacitors)

  • Once you've ensured that the capacitor is sufficiently discharged, you can measure its capacitance.

  • Turn the function dial to the resistance/capacitance mode and press the blue select button to toggle on the capacitance mode.

  • Touch the probes to each end of the capacitor to make a measurement.

  • Even though the electrolytic capacitor may be polarized, it doesn't matter how you connect the probes during the measurement.

  • If you're measuring a capacitor on a circuit board and you're not getting a proper reading, the capacitor may be in parallel with other circuit components. You'll need to desolder or disconnect one end before measuring the capacitor.

Come misurare la capacità (condensatori grandi)

Una volta che hai verificato che il condensatore è sufficientemente scarico, puoi misurare la sua capacità.

Gira la manopola della funzione su modalità resistenza/capacità e premi il pulsante blu di selezione per attivare la modalità di capacità.

Tocca le sonde a ciascun terminale del condensatore per effettuare la misurazione.

Anche se il condensatore elettrolitico può essere polarizzato, non importa come colleghi le sonde durante la misurazione.

Se stai misurando un condensatore su una scheda circuitale e non ottieni una lettura corretta, il condensatore potrebbe essere in parallelo con altri componenti del circuito. Dovrai dissaldare o scollegare un'estremità prima di misurare il condensatore.
