  • For all the other arbors it doesn't matter if there's a little play allowing them to move back and forth by a tiny amount between the front and back plates as the wheels will still engage with the pinions. But not for the contrate wheel as this would alter the depth of engagement with the pinion on the escapement platform.

  • Replace the small brass piece covering the contrate wheel pivot hole. Adjust the screw over the pivot hole by the tiniest amount, first of all anticlockwise, until there is the least perceptible play. Check that the contrate wheel still turns completely freely.

  • You can wind the main spring by a minimal amount to check that the contrate wheel turns freely. Unwind it once you are satisfied.

  • Also, replace the ratchet (make sure it's the right way up) and its retaining brass piece, engaging it with the ratchet spring.

En el resto de los ejes, no importa si hay una pequeña holgura que les permita moverse ligeramente entre las placas delantera y trasera, ya que las ruedas seguirán engranando con los piñones. Sin embargo, no ocurre lo mismo con la rueda de contacto, ya que esto alteraría la profundidad de engrane con el piñón en la plataforma de escape.

Vuelva a colocar la pequeña pieza de latón que cubre el orificio del pivote de la rueda de contacto. Ajuste el tornillo sobre el orificio lo más mínimo posible, primero en sentido antihorario, hasta que la holgura sea mínima. Compruebe que la rueda de contacto siga girando completamente.

Puedes darle una cuerda pequeña al resorte principal para comprobar que la rueda de contrato gira libremente. Desenróllalo cuando estés satisfecho.

Además, vuelva a colocar el trinquete (asegúrese de que esté en la posición correcta) y su pieza de retención de latón, acoplándola con el resorte del trinquete.
