Replacing the escapement platform

  • You can now replace the escapement platform. Do not completely tighten the screws.

  • Visually check that the escapement pinion is fully engaged with the contrate wheel, but not pressing on it, otherwise it will create friction and prevent the clock from running as long as it should. Examine with a magnifying glass.

  • Tighten the screws and check the escapement platform hasn't moved in doing so. Wind the main spring just a little and make sure the clock runs.

  • It's critical to ensure both that there is minimal endfloat in the contrate wheel, and that it engages fully but doesn't press on the escapement pinion.

Sustitución de la plataforma de escape

Ahora puede volver a colocar la plataforma de escape. No apriete los tornillos completamente.

Compruebe visualmente que el piñón de escape esté completamente acoplado a la rueda de contrate, pero sin presionarla; de lo contrario, generará fricción e impedirá que el reloj funcione correctamente. Examínelo con una lupa.

Apriete los tornillos y compruebe que la plataforma de escape no se haya movido. Dé cuerda al muelle real un poco y asegúrese de que el reloj funciona.

Es fundamental garantizar que haya un juego axial mínimo en la rueda de contrate y que esta engrane completamente pero sin presionar el piñón de escape.
