Once the clips are released, lay the phone back down on its screen and gently lift the midframe up.

Open it as you would a book, making sure to treat it like a hinge on the left side, as the power button is still attached by a delicate ribbon cable.

Be very careful, as pulling or tugging can rip or tear this delicate ribbon cable.

Turn the midframe over and lie it down flipped over next to the phone.
