Background
The Turtle Beach Elite 800 is a headset that uses DTS Surround Sound modes with specific presets through 50mm speakers. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 10 hours. The package contains the headset and a transmitter that acts as a charging station. A mobile cable, a digital optical cable, and a USB transmitter and programming cable are also included.
The headset itself has an internal microphone, and can be controlled by buttons located on the face plates on the outside of each ear cup. The speakers have a frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz, and the headset also has Bluetooth capabilities. It is an over-the-ear headset with 2.4GHz wireless transmission, and is made from synthetic leather with memory foam ear cups.
Identification
The Turtle Beach Elite 800 is black with blue trim between the ear pads and outer ear cups. The blue trim distinguishes it from the Xbox One-compatible Elite 800X, which features green trim. Blue accents also run vertically along the headband, just above the ear cups and below the “Elite” logo. The Turtle Beach logo is printed on the inside of the ear pads.
To confirm your headphone model, look on the inside of the headband near the ear cup, where the model number TBS-3390-01 and other device information are printed.
