Background

When it appeared, the MX Ergo was the most ergonomically similar option for those used to the Logitech TrackMan Wheel of the early 2000s. The price was on the upper range, but it offered precision plus wireless operation, and sports a durable, rechargeable battery.

Logitech has released two different versions of this trackball. The MX ERGO (910-005177) and the MX ERGO PLUS (910-005178). The Plus version comes with an extra wedge which allows the trackball angle to be modified.

Identification

The Logitech MX Ergo can be identified by the model number (M/N) M-R0065 or part number (P/N) 910-005177. The model and part numbers can be found printed sideways on a large sticker on the mouse's underside. The device's serial number is also listed here, labeled S/N.
