Kobo Clara BW (N365) Repair

The Kobo Clara BW is an upgrade to Rakuten Kobo’s Nia eReader and released along with its partner device, the Kobo Clara Colour. Offering 16 GB of storage, the Kobo Clara BW inhabits the same lightweight form factor as its predecessor, but houses the improved 6” Carta 1300 E ink screen that allows for a greater contrast and faster refresh rate. Moreover, it supports Kobo Audiobooks with a wireless Bluetooth device, along with IPX8 waterproofing for any poolside reading.

For nighttime reading, the Kobo Clara BW features an optional Dark Mode, plus the built-in ComfortLight PRO to adjust brightness and reduce blue light. As part of Kobo’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the Clara BW is made with recycled and ocean-bound plastic. The Kobo Clara BW starts at $129.99 USD.

The Kobo Clara BW eReader was refreshed in April 2025 with the P365 version.

The Kobo Clara BW can be identified primarily by its model number: N365. You can find the model number either on the edge of the bottom cover or through the device’s settings: More → Settings → About Clara BW.

There are two Clara BW versions: N365 and P365. Check your eReader’s model number (printed near the bottom of the rear case) before starting repair guides.
