Depends on the password :-(. If it's a BIOS password, you'll need to get it wrong 4-5 times, note the stop code and generate a master password - assuming Acer uses this and not pads like Toshiba does in the RAM module area — sometimes in other areas on later models but it’s always very distinct and the RAM has to be removed. That said if it generates a code you can probably use it. I'm not going to give links, but there's sites out there which do this.

If it's Windows, erase the drive and reinstall Windows or Linux. You can potentially force 11 on this, but I took a look at the specs I could find... Poor candidate, Athlon 64/64 X2 era equipment and it's old AMD where they were cheap because they were worse then Intel (which ironically, I own a modern Ryzen EliteBook with 32GB/1TB, it's 95% of what Intel is — the last 5% is margins of error and no AI slop accelerator…erm, weak NPU). Win10 is EOL and yeah, don't do it for a PC you'll put online. These shipped with 7 or 8 (depends on when it shipped) and 10 ran fine on most 7 machines, but 11 has things like DCH driver mandatory (non DCH installs but it's a crapshoot for super old 7-8 era drivers) which this has no chance of the drivers for these being DCH compliant. If you gave me this, I'd probably either put Win7 back on it and use it for legacy games and such, or install Linux - 8 and 10 are EOL and are a security liability as much as 7, so if I have to keep the notebook offline I want Win7 back.

If you insist on the bypass, here's a guide on how to do it: Windows 10/11 - USB Installation Media Creation (Rufus)

You can also use the MCT and write a drive, then load an autounattend onto the drive (albeit you CAN'T skip locking a keyboard setting in - Rufus allows it). Use this tool: https://schneegans.de/windows/unattend-g... -- SELECT THESE SETTINGS IF NOTHING ELSE:

  • Bypass Windows 11 requirements check (TPM, Secure Boot, etc.)
  • Allow Windows 11 to be installed without internet connection
  • Enter a product key interactively during Windows Setup
