How do I access the ink absorber pads?

Canon TS8050 printer is showing error message 5B00 (waste ink absorber full). The inks tray is at the right hand side, so I cannot access the ink pads to clean them. How do I access the ink pads? Thanks

@mikegavin78873 let's see if our printer guru @nick can help with this.

Generally, with this style of chassis on Canon printers, the pads are under the platen, and it's part of the lower base assembly, whereas the tricolor printers like the MG series put it in a white box on the side where the printhead service station is. It isn't hard to check these by any stretch, but you need to take the rear panel (which also acts as the rear paper tray on some) from the printer to confirm the pad location is where I think it is given your chassis.

This video is for the G2010, but the same back assembly steps SHOULD be the same (or at least very, very close).
