Generally, with this style of chassis on Canon printers, the pads are under the platen, and it's part of the lower base assembly, whereas the tricolor printers like the MG series put it in a white box on the side where the printhead service station is. It isn't hard to check these by any stretch, but you need to take the rear panel from the printer to confirm the pad location is where I think it is given your chassis.
