MacBook display colours distorted

My 2020 M1 macbook air has this display colour distortion problem. This occured suddenly one day when I opened the laptop. This issue is worsening by the day. The colours are fine if I keep the screen tilted at a specific angle.I also checked using an external monitor but the colours look fine on it. Added image to show the colour shift and the working when kept at an angle.
