My Asus zenbook duo is not turning on

it turns on randomly after several clicks sometimes after few days it turns on. I suspect the issue is with the power key. To turn on ASUS zenbook duo the only way is power button, there are no other options(may be cmos battery removal would work)

If it’s power key can someone walk through the process of changing the power key or any other alternative.

Right now my laptop is turned off, it is not turning on.🥹

This is a common problem I have also faced.

First try hold the power button for 5 seconds.

It might just give a blank screen with the screen pad on with full brightness(and if you had put the laptop at full speed mode the fans will be screaming (totallynormal) )

Press the power button for 5 extra seconds to fully turn it off

After this press and hold the power button for 10 seconds

By now your pro duo will turn on with the logo being the first thing it displays

It might take 1 minute for it to reach the lock screen which is okay.

And by now your laptop is now OK

My one would just randomly switch off / restart if you opened the camera or switch the orientation, or if you tried using the Asus app

EC reset will cycle your hardware , You need to do is turn off your Device remove power adapter and all external devices then press and hold the power button for 40 seconds , after that you need to wait at least 30 seconds before you turn on your Device again

actually....my real problem was flex band between mainboard and wifi...somehow this flex stop power up the computer. i replace that and now all good. start at first touch

From time to time I experience that. To fix this on most occasions:

I normally hold the power button till the screen pad plus turns off. Then I wait 10-15 seconds. Afterwards I press the on button for another 10-15 seconds. After this the screen pad plus will be on but the main display will be off. Don't worry, give the laptop at least 10 or 20 minutes to restart (don't worry if you hear the fans in full speed mode). By now the main display should be on. If however the screen does not turn on there might be a problem with the motherboard and it might have to be replaced (depending on how serious the damage has occurred to display connectors and ports.) Hopefully this helps. If you have any further problems, be sure to ask.
