My UE Megablast wont charge
I have had this speaker for a few years now, without issue, but for the last month or so it has been losing it's charge after about an hour. When I plugged it in tonight the light flashed once, then it told me it had a critical battery level, but will not charge. Is this fixable? crossing fingers and hoping
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

How are you charging your speaker? Did you try another cable?
You may want to get a USB power meter to check your charger, cable and the speaker its self. I find this one is quite helpful MakerHawk USB Power Meter Tester It offers micro USB, USB-A & USB-C connections.

Thank you for responding. I am using the cable that came with the speaker to attempt a charge. A friend has the same speaker, so I tried her cable with no luck, and she tried mine and it worked fine. I called the customer support number, and "due to unforeseen issues they were unable to answer my call". So I tried chatting with a bot from the UE site, and after I gave the serial number, it was "unable to help at this time." Then I downloaded the diagnostic tool, which couldn't connect to the speaker. Im running out of ideas

There could be an issue with the usb port. It is quite common that the solder joints on the charging port break off rhe board causing a dogdy connection.
It would also explain why the diagnostic tool never connected to the speaker. I had a JBL speaker with a similar issue….
Does the speaker start to charge if you fiddle around with the cable and lightly press it in different direction(s)?

Im guessing the same, either that or the battery. The charging light doesnt come on with different cables, or wiggling it a bit, (Im told the funny faces I make while doing this dont help either) Thank you for your help, it has been greatly appreciated. I think I'll try to source a new battery and port...and learn how to solder.

@blasted - Try replacing the port first! You could get the power adapter stand which then offers a fresh port Power Up.
