@bob boberson - You might want to look at upgrading the slow HDD this system has with a faster SSD which is what I would do if you are already at 8GB.

Just be careful! Your system is only a SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) one of the few SSD's that still support the older data rate is Samsung 870 EVO SSD

@danj i have already put a kinston a4 ssd in it also according to google i can use 16GB ram in my mac
