Colored lines on screen- Red green and blue

There’s vertical lines on my iMac screen. I’ve heard it’s the graphics card but I want to see what you guys think before buying anything.

@shrek420 - Likely a bad display, you need to be careful as the pressing on the back side can damage things.

I would plug in an external display to check things. This model offers a Mini-DVI connection on its back with an adapter you can plug in a VGA display.

Ok, will try. So if the external has problems too it’s the GPU?

The external monitor displayed fine, thank god a panel replacement is only forty dollars.
