Ran OS update from Catalina. MacBook will not boot up at all.
MacBook completely bricked from a OS update. No power. No signs of life.
- I was prompted to run a company OS update (formerly on Catalina). Not sure if it tried to update to Big Sur or Monterey.
- On the first restart, it indicated that I needed to boot up from startup disk.
- Boots up, but asks for another restart for installation to complete.
- I initiate 2nd restart, the MacBook never comes back on.
Solutions I’ve tried:
- Holding power button for 10 seconds
- Resetting the SMC
- Resetting the NVRAM/PRAM
- Charging with different MacBook chargers
@danj - After combing this site and reading your expert responses, I am so curious if you have a thought.
