MacBook not charging. Works only when plugged in.

My MacBook Pro 13” (Early 2015) does not charge. It’s battery stays at 1%. It only works when plugged in And turns off as soon as I unplug.

MagSafe connector LED is Amber.
I have tried resetting SMC and PRAM.
My battery has 715 cycles.
System information says it has 25% battery health.
Running Diagnostics says: “The battery may not be charging properly“ - “Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer and the power outlet, then reconnect. Run the test again.”

Does this look like a battery problem or MagSafe DC-in problem?

Sadly you have a twofer! You clearly need a new battery which is the easiest to fix MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) Battery and the guide MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Battery Replacement.

But! your logic board is also damaged! The charging logic was damaged by a knockoff charger which is why the charger is not charging the battery at all (zero watts). That will need someone with deeper skills to fix and you still need to replace the charger with a REAL Apple unit: Apple 45W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter for MacBook Air

I’m not using a knockoff charger! I am using the original Apple charger that came in the box.

Also, 2 questions:

1. Can the battery health be low due to the logic board issue? Because before this issue started happening, my battery health was ~70%. After this issue, it said 25%.

2. And logic board replacement as in motherboard or the MagSafe logic board?

While I know you believe you have a real one as the knockoffs look exactly like a real one you can't really tell which is which! Even I have a very hard time just looking at it. I see this quite a lot people thinking they have a real MagSafe.

OK, So focus on the battery alone then put in a new one and see where things sit.

As far as the charging circuit this is one element of the systems logic board. As an alternative option you could just replace it MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Logic Board Replacement if you can't get your system to someone who can fix it.

I would just hate to see you come back in a year or so with the same problem as you hadn't replaced the charger which damaged your system from the start.

Also, just to confirm again,

MagSafe DC-in-board and charging circuit are different. And My MacBook’s charging circuit is damaged and not DC-in board. DC-in board is fine?

If you still have the original charger that came with the system when it was sold by Apple then you do have a real unit!

Most people have replaced their chargers a few times (cord gets damaged) or bought a second one (one for Home and one for work).

Make sure your's is not failing you! Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters a damaged cord can cause the power line to short out with the middle one wire comm line which can also damage things.

Yes I do have original charger that came in the original box. So it is original! But I see. It can be damaged and it can damage other things.

One last thing, if you can explain more on what charging circuit is. Is there any article or replacement on iFixit for it?
