Lightweight fleece jackets maximize core warmth without weighting you down. They wick away moisture and dry quickly to handle the most grueling of outdoor pursuits.

How do I get my fleece to stop shedding?

My fleece has been washed a few times but still sheds little (pink) bits on everything. I wore it under a different coat and found pink fleece bits all over the other coat. At first I thought it would just stop after washing but sadly it didn't. If anyone has any insight I would be so grateful! Thanks! -kate

Hello Kate,

Patagonia created this iFixit guide detailing specific at-home laundering instructions to reduce fleece shedding.

Hoping this helps out!

Best,

Zach

Hi Kate,

You might not be able to stop your fleece from shedding completely, but you can definitely reduce the amount it sheds. Here are a few tips:

1) Use a lint roller.

2) Carefully and slowly use a shaving razor to remove any loose bits.

3) As soon as you notice pilling on your fleece, use this guide to tame any fleece buildup and prevent further shedding.

Hope this helps!
