The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

Will a Samsung 850 EVO drive work in this computer?

Will a Samsung 850 EVO 1TB 2.5" SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E1T0B/AM) drive work in the FF839LL/A MacBook (early 2015 13.3" retina display)?

I already have the drive and am thinking of buying this computer which comes with 128 GB drive.

thanx

This series of MacBook Pro's use a custom blade drive similar to a M.2 drive. It will not support a 2.5" SATA drive. Sorry ;-{

For reference you can see it here: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 SSD Replacement

You could still upgrade the SSD if you want to. Here's one option: OWC - MacBook Pro with Retina Display 13" & 15" Late 2013, 2014, and 2015

This model does not have a optical drive. How about creating a fresh question so we get all of your systems details Vs hanging on to someone elses.
