Press and hold both the home and lock button for at least 5 seconds or until the Apple logo appears on screen. Your device is now restarting. Once your device turns back on, reset the settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Nothing on your device will be erased after completing these steps.

Faulty Speakers
If your device is connected correctly and your sound sources are of good quality, then the problem might be with the speakers themselves. Test the speakers by playing a simple, good-quality audio file to determine which of the four speakers are faulty. If one or both of the larger speakers (woofers) are faulty, replace the woofer(s). If one or both of the smaller speakers (tweeters) are faulty, replace the faceplate and tweeters.

Any fix for speaker randomly turning itself down? The down volume button flashes non stop and turns itself down to zero volume all the time. I dont think its the remote because i took the batteries out of the remote. I tried to unplug and re-plug back in but nothing seems to work.
