UE Boom 2 Troubleshooting

There is no sound coming out of the speaker it's connected to the bluetooth on my phone and the light on the speaker is on.

I have two speaker and both can connect separately but not together. If I try to connect the second one it kicks the first one off.

My ue boom 2 looses sound but its connected how do i fix this?

Has anyone had any contact my sons speaker connecting fine to his speaker day before yesterday and now he pairs device through Bluetooth then when he goes to play his music it does not play and the device returns to not connected why would that be please help

I have applied the factory reset as advices and now my sons device can not even locate the speaker aaargh

Anyone know how the three wires connect controlling the volume buttons on my ue boom

have tried multiple devices and they all pair but the UE will not produce any sound. i have done factory reset and checked UE Settings as well as Phone setting, nothing seems to work.

Only had my UE for 2 year and its not even thrashed as much as my last. please help

I can’t hear anything

When I turn on my speaker the small bluetooth/pairing button flashes rapidly until i turn it off. Yes I’ve tried reseting it it just does the same thing. My speaker will only turn on and turn off. Wont go into pairing mode

My speaker is on and connected with volume up on both the speaker and phone but I can’t hear any sound coming out of the speaker. I can’t even hear the default noises like the power on, power off, and pairing noises even after factory resetting it.

Why you say resetting to factory mode is bad? Because my UE boom wont pair unless I do a factory reset, So what can I do instead, Is there a way to reset it with USB or something so that It works like when it was new? because at fist it was really easy to pair the bluetood and now it´s a pain.

My speaker stopped producing sound at all. It still connects to my phone and the light blinks whn i plug in the micro usb, so it is able to charge. I have downloaded the app to update the firmware and have performed a factory reset as well, but the speaker is still unable to produce any sound at all (not when connecting to any device, and no sound when i turn it on or search for a device). My speaker was working great up until this point, and I’m not sure what would have caused it. It stopped producing sound mid-song despite still being connected, and I have been unable to get it working since

I reset my Boom 2 to factory settings and now both my Iphone and my Ipod will not pair with the spaeaker via Bluetooth….wth?

My Boom 2 Bluetooth light continues to blink and WILL not connect.

Tried to factory reset and it turns off then when i turn it back on the Bluetooth light is still blinking.

this speaker is great I love it but unfortunately last night I tried to play music and the speaker is not producing sound at all. Not even when it turns on or connects. What’s going on? Some help please

The holding of volume down and power for over 12secs doesn’t work I have no idea why

I have note 9 and original gboom its plugged in so power is not a problem but it only plays at 1/3 to 1/2 volume phone and speaker are all the way up but it is not distorted or crackly just quieter

My speaker disrupt sometimes, the Bluetooth connection works not for 1 second and it is very annoying when you are in the midlle of a song and there is no sound for one second

My speaker works and all of its features work but the light just never turns on. It charges, holds the charge, and connects to the app so I’m not sure whats wrong.

I have added both my ue boom 2 spekers while they both play on their own they cannot double up whatever I do . I have tried to do it from the app and it even though both are added on the bluetooth of my phone it shows 0 speaker when I go to the party up to drag it and when I try to connect them mannually even though it plays the tone when I press the bluetooth and + on the one and the bluetooth twice on the other they still will not pair

Reset HUNDREDS of times.. Makes a static like noise as if it is connecting, shows up as a paired device but it's never connected. I've been playing third game for 5 months and NOT ONCE have I been able to use this POS. I have a second one that works 100% fine.

this this is a mystery. The current version of the UE 2 Boom app, does not offer a double up function. I've tried to pair and connect to speakers and it simply does not work.

Something happened with a recent update to the app. Now Party-Up doesn’t work. Even though both speakers are connected via bluetooth, and one is playing, when you go into party-up to find the remaining speaker, it shuts off the one that was working and can’t find the other. Sure, the app isn’t very good, but it’s all I have. Please fix this…..

Hi all. I have the current version of the app on my phone, I want to update the firmware on my speaker see if it helps with some of the issues. However, I cannot find the “more" tab in the app that supposedly takes me to the option to update the firmware. If anyone has the moment and can't take a screenshot of where that “more” button that would be terrific. Thank you

My ue boom not chaging when i connet the cable wire micro usb how i can fix it.

My I phone X works with the all ue booms but I cannot turn up the volume. the three o pair with all do the same thing, all low volume.

however when I pair with beats pill I can turn volume up.

any clues as to why

must be setting in phone?

my wife’s phone is the same yet all the ue booms work fine with hers

My speaker has completely stopped making any sounds: when it switches on and off, when it connects to a device and also when playing music. There's complete silence - please advise.

I just bought this speaker for my mother and it pairs with her phone but will not play any sound! The lack of responses from on these comments in concerning to say the least! Where is customer service? Should I return the speaker and go with a different brand? I spent a lot of money so she would have something decent and it turned out to be a piece of crap! By the looks of all these people having the same problem, I would have to say that it is a faulty piece of equipment and should be recalled!

Need help. Small blue LED light need USB port to plug charger into stopped blinking after being on charger for a while but when i hold the negative and positive bottom down it says it only has 20% battery?

On Friday July 31,2020 I placed my Boom 2 speaker on charge its now Sunday Aug 2,2020 at midnight and its still blinking a white light as its still being charged. Does the battery now needs to be replaced,Ive had it since 2016?

I have the same problem that Virginia Wilcox has. The device was bought in Dec 2019 and stopped pairing about 7 months later to any device, I did the reset and still no bluetooth skills. The device sounded good when it worked. I would not recommend this to anyone do to its failure rate,

After firmware update 2.4.7 Bluetooth Pairing Button has stopped working - can still pair using ‘Factory Reset’ (minus & power buttons)

12/2/2020 i have been using 2 ue booms for years with all my mac devices.: imac, ipad, iphone. With recent mac & IOS updates, none of my devices will see either of the UE booms when in pairing mode. Have re-set speakers, updated UE app.

If the Bluetooth light on your UE Boom 2 is flashing rapidly but the speaker won’t connect - try this. Find the UE Boom on your Bluetooth connection list. Instead of pressing the connect button again delete the entry. When UE Boom appears on the list again it should have a Pair button or option next to it. This time the UE Boom should be recognised and start playing again. The system just needs a gentle push to sort itself out…

My Boom speaker is able to pair with both my phones but wont play. No sounds at all, even when connected with a jack plug. Done reset. Connected to app. Other speakers work fine via bluetooth and jack plug but not my BOOM… Is my speaker scrap already ?

Press and hold at the same time “Volume Down” + “Power” until the Boom restarts. Then pair it again with Win. It helpded in my case.

Connects but when I play music it doesn't play on the boom

Mine turns on, but won’t pair with ANY device. Holding down the Bluetooth button produces no results, no flashing or illumination. Just nothing. Tried the factory reset, and hold down the power and - button. It just turns off. No sound to indicate it reset. Turn it back on, and the power button is illuminated like normal, but the bluetooth button still doesn’t work and is not visible on ANY device. I tried the NFC connection, and am able to get my phone to attempt to pair with the speaker, which always fails. I believe these devices are defective because my extended family bought three of these.. not one of them works properly.

If your UEBOOM is ON, Connected and no theres is still no sound……..CONNECT THE SPEAKER TO CHARGE IT.

How to turn my bass up

Idk if anyone else is having the same issue, but I've barely used my ue boom2 and it went from having excellent battery life to being charged at %80-%100 and dying within an hour. I've never over charged or abused it. Some times I can plug it in and “jump start it", and after charging for 5 minutes it will turn back on, but then it dies after an hour or less again, even though it says %80 charge when I hold down both volume buttons. I tried the factory reset, multiple times, which worked to fix my original ue boom battery life. But there again I started having the same glitch with my old one, where I would have to Jump start it to get it to turn on. I loved these speakers but it seems like they have some built in defects that ue needs to resolve. I feel like my original boom, latest way longer before messing up then the boom2 did. Any ideas anyone?

My speaker doesn't charge anymore. I tried with various cables, sockets, adapter, it won't take any. And the little charging light does not lit either. The rest seems fine (red flashing light indicating low battery and turn-on sound…) and it has worked perfectly until low charge. Ideas anyone ? Anyone knows if charging socket on the device can be changed and hiw hard would that be ? Thx !

The All Blacks edition of this speaker included a Haka Greeting sound, that was the reason of being limited edition. but in one version update of the firmware, they just took it away and i can’t get it back accordingly to them. scammers

I'm unable to hard reset my UE Boom. I.e, hold power and volume down simultaneously) I'm able to pair but it does not play any sound. And there's no bongo startup/shutdown sound. Thoughts?

My ue increases in volume on its own. It increases when there is an ‘ad’ on the music source (stingray) but doesn’t revert to the original volume at the end of the ad.

The speaker makes no sound goes through the set up and lights are ok but will not produce sound try all the stop start stuff to no avail.

I was able to fix muffled sound by going to control panel>hardware and sound>devices and printers> select UE BOOM 2> properties>services> deselect hands free telephony and serial port

Turn Bluetooth on and off on windows 10 and power cycle the UE boom.

Should start working with clear sound.

After pairing my 2 UE Boom 2s,they only play in "double",but only one plays in "stereo".Switching them results in the other one not playing.Hope someone can help

I've had my speaker for about 2-3 years now and now its just starting to malfunction I turn it on and when I go to turn it off it will automatically will turn back on. I did the factory reset and when I turn it off it will still do the same thing again if any one has found a solution for this please let me know.

Boom2 suddenly stopped working.

No sound comes through although everything else looks fine. Connects and volume works but no sound. Not even the start up sound.
