Shark ION RV754 Not Picking Up Debris

If your Shark ION RV754 is not picking up debris effectively, it could be due to blockages in the suction path, clogged filters, obstructed brushes, or a full dustbin. Addressing these common issues will help restore performance.

Debris pickup problems can stem from blockages in the suction pathway. Dust, hair, and larger particles can hinder suction if the path isn’t clear.

1. Remove the dustbin and inspect the suction intake for any visible obstructions.
2. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clear any debris.

An often-overlooked solution is ensuring that the debris container (or dustbin) is emptied regularly. An overfilled bin has less capacity to draw in additional particles.

1. Empty the dustbin after each use, or once it reaches 70–80% capacity.
2. Remove the dustbin, open it, and dispose of all debris.
3. Wipe out residual dust with a dry cloth before reinserting.

Emptying the Dust Bin
