Device Won’t Turn On
Your device is unresponsive when attempting to turn on

Note: There is a small blue LED next to the charging port. You can check that this light is on as an indicator of whether or not the device is charging.
Software Malfunction
If the device is not just out of power, you may need to perform a hard reset to turn it on again. This may cause some of your data and setting to be lost, so only use it as a last resort.

Your charger won’t charge your Chromebook and the charging light won’t light up anymore

Battery is Dead
The battery only has so many cycles. If your device still has power, you can check the battery health using CROSH.
- Press Control+Alt+T on your keyboard.
- A terminal should open up. Within the terminal, type “battery_test” and hit Enter.
- You should now be able to read your battery’s health listed as a percentage. If your battery’s health is low enough it will no longer be able to hold a charge.
If your device will not power on, consider that the battery may have reached the end of its like cycle. A typical battery for this device will last 300-500 cycles, so if your battery has performed above and beyond these metrics, it may be time to put it to rest.
