Device does not power on
Device simply will not power on
Drained/bad battery
If your Nokia X will not power on, it is possible that the battery has simply lost its charge. This is common especially when the device has not been used in a long time. Try plugging in your device to either an outlet or a computer in order to charge it. If the battery is not dead, the screen should show a picture of a charging battery indicating the device is receiving power. If there is no indication of charging, either the battery or charger is at fault and will need to be replaced. See the battery replacement guide here.
Bad display
It is possible that it appears your device is not powering on because the display is faulty. If you can hear any sound coming from the device or feel vibration from the screen, this is likely the case. A faulty display will likely need to be replaced, however you can view the troubleshooting section on display issues for further information.
Bad motherboard
If none of the above seem to be the problem, the issue may be with the motherboard of the phone. If this is indeed the case, the motherboard will need to be replaced.
Camera Does Not Work
Your Nokia X camera does not work normally
Drive space is full
If the micro SD card is full you won’t be able to store any more pictures on the card. You can either delete some media off of the card (photos/videos, music, applications) to free up space or purchase a new micro SD card.
Lens is messed up
If the pictures taken appear to be abnormal (blurry/fuzzy, bad color, etc.) then the camera lens may be at fault. The lens should be cleaned properly using lens cleaner solution before attempting further repair. If it appears the lens is cracked or seriously damaged, it will likely need to be replaced. To learn how to replace the camera on your Nokia X, follow our guide here.
Phone Is Frozen or Unresponsive
Nokia X does not respond to touch or button presses.
Phone needs a reset
Try forcing a shutdown by holding down the power button for approximately five seconds, or until the phone shuts off. If the phone becomes unresponsive again after rebooting, or never shut down, remove the battery for a couple of minutes and try again.
Memory is clogged and needs to be cleared
Your device may seem slow and unresponsive due to too many programs attempting to run at once, usually in the background. By uninstalling certain applications, you can free up memory allowing your phone to operate smoother.
No audio or distorted audio
Your Nokia X turns on and appears to work, but audio does not play properly.
Sound is not turned on
Before we start further testing that may not be necessary, ensure that your device has audio enabled by pressing the volume up button located on the side of the device. It is typically the top button in a series of two, with the latter being the volume down button.
Bad headphones/speakers
While you may have quality speakers or headphones, it is worthwhile to determine if they are the faulty source before proceeding to replace the audio jack. Try your Nokia X using a different pair of headphones or speakers just to confirm that the problem is with the phone.
Bad audio jack
If previous testing has not solved your issues (confirming that device has audio enabled, along with determining that your headphones/speakers are in working order), then the problem may be with the audio jack. In order to fix the sound problems, you will need to order a replacement Nokia X headphone jack, and follow our headphone jack replacement guide here.
Screen is broken or does not appear to turn on
The phone seems to power on successfully, but no display is shown.
Cannot feel display, but can feel touch feedback/hear sound
If you don't see anything, but can still feel the touchscreen working, the brightness of the screen may be turned all the way down, this can make it nearly impossible to see in certain lighting. To change the brightness level of the display first make sure you are in a dark enough environment in order to see the display. Slide own the status bar from the top of the screen, then click the picture of a gear, this will bring you into the system settings. Scroll down and click on the tab titled "display". Click on the "brightness" tab and proceed to adjust the rightness level as necessary. It may be wise to disable the setting labeled "automatic" in order to prevent the phone from changing the brightness by itself.
Display is completely unresponsive
If the screen does not appear to be responsive at all, the cables connecting the display to the motherboard may have become unplugged. To fix this, follow our display replacement guide here.
Screen is completely shattered
If the screen is totally shattered, it is necessary to replace the glass. A new piece of glass will have to be ordered and put into the display slot.
To learn how to check if the screen is still connected to the motherboard, or to replace the display entirely, follow our display replacement guide.

how do we fix a double reboot on restart, if i force restart by holding power button, then hitting restart, the phone will reboot, load, then restart a second time all on its own. ive seen other posts on other forums with allot of x100 owners having this same issue.

These Nokia phones are begin to feel as though are not legit. My Nokia X10 won't place a call, the touch button now responding after 5 seconds. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone
