Coffee Maker Would Not Turn Off
I can not find the on/off button.
There Is No Off Button On CF080 Series
There is no power button on the machine. By manufacturer default, it would self turn off after a couple of minutes.
The Brew Basket Is Not In Right Position
When the brew basket comes out, how do I put it back in?
Remove and Insert Brew Basket Again
To remove the brew basket from the brewer, pull it straight towards, and boost the brew basket at a slight angle.
To re-insert, align the brew basket with the rails in a straight line and slide it back into the brewer until it clicks into place.
Coffee Bar Is Beeping
My coffee bar is beeping and it is not working.
Fill Reservoir Tank
Check your reservoir tank. Your Ninja Coffee Bar needs appropriate amount of water to work.
Check Brew Basket
Your Ninja Coffee Bar can not work if the brew basket is not inserted all the way into the brewer.
Check Drip Stop
Your Ninja Coffee Bar can not work if the drip stop is closed.
Run Clean Cycle
If your Ninja Coffee Bar is still beeping, it may be time to run the Clean cycle. Please refer to the "How to clean & descale your Ninja Coffee Bar" FAQ by the manufacturer.
The "CLEAN" Notification Never Turns Off
The clean light never turns off even when you've done.
Press Clean Button Again
Fill the reservoir with clean water and press the clean button again. It just flushes water through (does not run a whole clean cycle again) and the light goes off after the flush.
Water Reservoir Is Leaking
My Coffee Bar is leaking after a fill the water.
Too Much Water in Reservoir Tank
Your Ninja Coffee Bar is designed to use only a specific amount of water. So only fill the water up to, but not exceeding, the Max Fill line.

None of these things help make my pot work! It beeps after 30 secs of turning on. The reservoir leaks, and I don’t overfill it. It shuts off for no apparent reason!! Getting pretty feb up with this ninja coffee bar!!

Mine is doing the same thing. It worked perfectly, then it cuts off after a few seconds. I tried to clean it, but it won’t stay on long enough to do anything. Any suggestions?

Add me to the list with this same problem (this is the new #metoo!). My coffee pot does the same behavior. Runs 20/30 seconds, beeps 3 times, then shuts off. I’ve tried cleaning, I’ve tried different size of brewing ounces, I’ve tried adjusting the basket, the reservoir, the coffee pot. Just keeps happening. Any feedback from Ninja?
Kelly - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
OK, hope this helps. I just heard from the Ninja website customer service and troubleshooting the issue of the unit stopping after 20-30 sec etc…. The tech said to remove the reservoir and depress both the spring on the water container, and depress the area in which the water drains (on the coffee unit itself), holding each a few seconds. This removes any trapped air in the internal line. (Other troubleshooting included, cleaning, adjusting reservoir, adjusting basket, etc., but this air bubble issue actually worked). Hope this helps.
Kelly - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Wow mine does the same
Jorge -
This troubleshoot worked for me. I did unplug the unit, and tilted the unit up side down while depressing the the spring.
LiQuiD Snake -
My ninja bar stopped after someone ran it without water…..Dumping the coffee unit upside down while holding the spring to let the water out worked for me. After it was completely empty of water I set it back up and it started brewing the right amount of water again.
kari713 -
Thank you! This seemed to have e worked for me! I was going crazy!
heathernlowe81 -
Can you elaborate on which area on the coffee unit to depress? Like the little circle under the reservoir? There isn’t really a spring there or anything, as far as I can see. Thanks!
Amanda -
Thanks! This helped tremendously! I thought I had tried everything, short of taking it apart!

I cannot turn the dial on my coffee bar without it constantly beeping. Pushing the brew or clean buttons does not help. It just won’t stop beeping!! Anyone have this problem? The drip stop is not on and everything else is setup correctly.

My coffee bar keeps turning off after a few seconds. it’s been cleaned , that light is off, when I press the classic button to start the brew is glows on and off

We’ve had our Coffee Bar replaced several times, but now have this “beeping/stopping” issue. If we cannot fix, it’s time to explore the world outside of Ninja. Their customer service was great when the unit was new, after having it for a year, not so much. Apparently a replacement unit won’t last as long (refurb?) but too many times having to call Ninja.
Peter Trout - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Tried to clear the lines, tried to clean, and it continues to beep 3 times, then stops and ends whatever cycle you are attempting (brew or clean). Time for a new coffee maker, and time to try other brands, unfortunately. I liked the Coffee Bar, but this is the third base that we’ve been shipped???
Peter Trout - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0

Mine has had the habit of running for a few seconds then saying “flush” no matter what operation I do and never going past that. I have tried cleaning it but it will follow the same procedure as mentioned above.
Gene Hudson - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
We bought the ninja cf081 coffeemaker a couple of years ago and loved every cup of it. We run the clean cycle about every month and a full clean every few months or so. Recently, it started beeping nonstop as soon as we switched it to anything but on. The “clean” light remained on as well. After trying all of the troubleshooting steps found in the guide and on this thread, I decided to take it apart. I'm not an electrical engineer and didn't go in depth into circuit design but as a mechanical engineer, I feel that I can hold my own when it comes to troubleshooting and repairing almost anything. I took the unit apart and discovered that water has been leaking into the compartment containing the motherboard and electrical connections. START HERE FOR MY POINT: There was clear evidence of water damage. The bottom bottom cover was covered in blue green oxide residue. I popped open some connectors and found that the metal prongs were not only covered in the same residue, but several of them were cracked through.

I fear this is my issue as well. Customer service could only offer a discounted new one which I’m not jumping on just yet . This one is only a year and a half old and for what was paid, it should still be working. It’s been leaking since the day we took it out of the box but I could never figure out from where. I see one of the screws on the bottom completely rusted, not sure if I’m going to get them off.
Jess -
My coffee maker will not go through the flush cycle. I’ve tried turning it off and back on. I’ve tried running water through it and it won’t fill the pot. I can’t get the water reservoir to empty half way with the cleaning process or with just a brew process. Very frustrated
Megan Guthrie - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Ours shuts off after 15 sec. I have done everything that troubleshooting says to do…
Tony - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
It's probably water damage on the inside. Mine was anyway.
Q=MCAT -
I tried everything suggested, but finally found the problem and fixed it! The water reservoir needed to be hand-cleaned very very well. It LOOKED clean and even had white vinegar in it, but until I washed it, by hand, with hot, sudsy water and rinsed it well, I didn’t notice that there had been a very slight slime or slipperiness on the inside of the reservoir. As soon as that was washed away and fresh water put back in, EVERYTHING WORKED AGAIN! I hope it works for you guys, too!
jhkontoes - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
This is my second Ninja with the same problem, beeping after several seconds. I was about to return it but love my Ninja and don’t want to go to something else. Underneath the water bucket or reservoir, is a hole that must have gotten clogged with calcium buildup so after an hour of trying to troubleshoot, I unplugged the machine and sprayed into the hole with my faucet, with the button pushed down and machine held upside down, and several scaley pieces came out. I know have a functioning coffee machine! :) Hope this helps for you!

there should be a recall on it
Giojohnny - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Mine was beeping every 15 seconds and wouldn’t run anything. I took everything loose off it unplugged it and held it over my kitchen sink. I then turned it upside down while pressing down on the water reservoir entry hole and just started turning 360 degrees in every direction. I did this until all the water had run out and I couldn’t hear anymore water in the unit. I the. Plugged it back in and filled it back up with water. Ran a cleaning cycle and everything worked. I think I ran the unit without having enough water in it and air got in the lines and was tricking the machine into thinking there was no water. I will make sure I always put more then enough water in it in the future. Hope this helps yall. The cleaning light thing from what I can tell means it is still dirty and you need to run multiple cycles to clear it.
Erik - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I have seen videos of people taking the bottom off to clean the heater or blow air out of the lines. What screwdriver did you use? I got a T9 torx and it doesn’t fit. It seems like there is a nub, like on a Phillips head.
Kristen - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
It’s a torx security screw - T10

Hey everyone!!! This is the FUNNIEST forum I’ve read re:fixing techniques - but you all fixed it for me! Thankyou!! I can have coffee in the am! I had to do the “shake into the sink upside down trick while holding the spring button down….” but it is now working and running a clean cycle!

BUYER BEWARE!
None of these solutions help! This product is a piece of crap!!!!!
This machine is less then 2 years old, we use reverse osmosis water, and we use it maybe 3-4 times a week as we have a keurig so our lifestyle we use this machine mostly on weekends! We do not leave water in the reservoir . We always clean it when needed…. the machine shuts down every 5 - 10 seconds! I called Ninja and spoke to a customer service rep! Apparently there’s nothing they can do as it’s out of warranty! There solution was to charge me for a new one with a 50.00 discount! Big deal!!! When I have already paid over 300.00 for this unit and it’s not even two years old!! Very disappointed customer!
Shelley Pellart - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I agree with everyone that is done with this piece of sh*t. I thought I had the solution, but it worked once. I got a Keurig coffee maker for $30 and haven’t had one problem. I completely tore apart the ninja because a friend gave it to me and I thought it would be a pretty simple fix. What a waste of time. There is something like a sensor that is keeping it from working properly. Point being, it’s a *!&*^#% coffee maker. This should not be rocket surgery. I fix electronics as a hobby and this boggles my mind. I’m done with it. Good luck to everyone. Please post if you have a solution other than going “Office Space Style” on it ;)

We just purchased our ninja coffee maker and has condensation on carafe and also on the water reservoir tank. Can’t figure out why it would do this and also why it doesn’t go away after a while. It is impossible to see inside of the carafe, even after the maker is turned off.

My Ninja had the clean light on. I filled the reservoir with the recommended water and white vinegar mixture. I pressed the clean button that was lit and nothing happened. Hitting a brew button would run a few seconds and then beep 5 times and stop. Hitting the clean button still did nothing. I kept hitting the brew button until it ran about half of the water in the reservoir ran through. I let it sit for about a half hour. When I hit the brew button again, the clean light went out. I hit the clean button again, but it still just runs a few seconds and stops. This is how it is sitting now. I can’t get a clean cycle to go all the way through and it will only brew a few seconds and then stop. What do I do now?
john - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I removed the 3/16 inch little plastic tab in the bottom of the external water reservoir whichwas dried out and keeping air bubbles from escaping from the internal water reservoir inside the machine. Worked for me.
frednrc - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Solution for me! So what's happening is that the water isn't running fast enough through the machine so the the machine thinks any cycle you tell it to do is done. To fix this, clean out the bottom hole of your reservoir so that it flows well, then use a rag to clean out the area of the machine where the reservoir flows into. Try the clean cycle again after doing this.
thegeek777 - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I had this same problem with my Ninja Coffee Bar, it would beep 5 times shortly after pressing the brew button. So what I did to fix it was empty the water reservoir and then fill it with 100% white vinegar, then pressed the clean button. Naturally it shut off and beeped 5 times a short time later, so I just pressed the button again, and again until it started working on it’s own. Probably had to press the clean button 10 or 15 times till it started working on it’s own. Then after the clean cycle finished, washed out the reservoir and filled it with fresh water and ran a few brew cycles until the vinegar odor was gone.
Roy Smith - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Sometimes i have to wait up to 30 minutes before the clean light works, but it always does.
Chibad -
If your clean cycle does not run - Try confusing the coffee bar by pressing and holding classic and the clean buttons together holding it down for a solid minute - should reset the whole thing re set up for the cleaning process and press clean should run fully with no issues good luck
Zoe O'Brien - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
You guys all need to run a deep clean cycle by holding the clean button down, but also getting into the habit of turning the coffee maker (unplugged; reservoir and carafe removed) upside down (jars deposits loose) when cleaning and wiping/spraying the surface above the basket (it gets full of coffee bean deposits which affect dripping), but also rinsing your baskets and filters very well regularly with each use.
Chibad - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Not sure what happened. I was only seeing the first few comments of this thread before posting. Hmm
Chibad -
And turning upside down helos resolve trapped air issue.
Chibad -
My machine beeped 5x after initial 10-15 secs and completely stopped brewing. I removed the filter basket and checked the reservoir. Both valves (the one on the outside bottom of the water tank and one stationed to connect to this valve inside the coffee pot both seemed to work. Tried every brew option with every capacity, unplugged and tried again… no matter what I did, the same 5 beeps happened and it would stop the brew cycle. Finally, after reading the comments, I simply turned this stupid thing upside down while simultaneously depressing the interior valve with a straw and attempted to brew again. Voila… the thing works agin. But beware because the water that spits out of it while your pressing the valve whilst turned upside down is hot and burned my hand.
girlybenzo - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Well it’s 2024 and mine does the same thing. They haven’t fixed it yet.
Earl - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I finally found a fix that seems to resolve the beeping issue. I can't take full credit as I researched the issue a few years back and think I picked up some of these instructions from YouTube or a different forum.
—
Unplug the unit, hold over the sink, flip upside down, and firmly smack the bottom underneath the reservoir side 5+ times.
—
Plug unit back in, fill reservoir with 75% vinegar and 25% water, set carafe in unit, turn unit on, start clean cycle and press clean button after 20-30 seconds, and let the unit sit for 45+ minutes. Repeat.
—
Dump carafe. Add water into the reservoir and run clean cycle. Repeat process with 50/50 ratio if there was a lot of buildup after the partial clean process.
—
Run two standard brew cycles with plain water before using the unit as normal.
—
Hope this helps!
