Computer Will Not Power On or Boot
Computer shows minimal or no signs of powering up.
Faulty Hardware
Performing a hard reset, also known as hardware reset, may fix this problem. This reset will re-initialize the core hardware components of the system.
No Power
First press the power button and check for any lights lighting up or displays on the screen.
If no signs appear, remove all peripheral devices and check the back of the computer for a removable battery. If there is a removable battery, remove the battery and hold down the power button for 15 seconds. Reinsert the battery and reconnect the AC adapter to the computer and turn on. If start up screen displays, continue with directions displayed and run updates.
If there is no removable battery, hold down power button for 15 seconds to attempt reset. If there still appears to be no power please follow to our battery replacement guide.
No Sound from Speakers or Crackling
Speakers are either making an intermittent crackling sound or sound distorted when speakers are playing. There is no sound especially after installing recent updates.
Outdated Update KB2962407
Upgrading to Windows 8.1 will resolve the issue or reinstall update KB 2962407 because Microsoft has made changes to the update and is available as an optional update.
Outdated Audio Drive
If the issue still persists after the Windows update, try updating the audio driver. First make sure there is an internet connection, then proceed to search in Windows for the Device Manager, click to open. Double click the Sound, video and game controllers, next right click the sound hardware and select Update Driver.
Computer Locks Up or Freezes
Screen seems to freeze and locks up. Not able to load another page or type anything with keyboard.
Power Supply Issue
First unplug the cord from the wall and from the laptop. Next you can try pressing the start button for 10 seconds. Do not smash it down really hard just a gentle press is enough. The problem could be a power supply issue including the battery or full memory (unless it's a new computer)
CPU at Capacity
This is an interior issue with the CPU.The CPU is the central processing unit and its basically what makes everything work inside.The laptop should be turned off occasionally . Screens should be closed or the laptop will eventually be overloaded similar to having too many apps on a phone.
Slow Computer Performance
The computer is running slow and doesn't perform well.
Excessive Running Background Apps
Closing applications that are running in the background will speed up your computer's performance. Applications that automatically boot up when the computer is powered on will slow down the performance. Go into the Task Manager tab and see what apps are running.
Full Hard Disk Space
Visit the Hard Drive section of your PC, browse downloaded material. Removing apps and material that is unneeded. Removing unneeded apps and data off of the hard disk, will speed up your PC improving the performance & speed of your computer.
Display and Touchscreen Issues
Touch Screen does not respond accurately, or does not respond at all.
Screen does not Respond to touch or intermittently
The touch screen might not be responding because it is not enabled or needs to be reinstalled. In Windows, search for and open the Device Manager. Click to expand the Human Interface Devices list. From there right-click the touch screen device, and then click Enable.
Touch Screen Responds Inaccurately
In Windows, search for and click to open Calibrate the screen for pen and touch input.
On the Display tab, click Setup. Click Touch input. Follow the directions on the screen to further identify your screen as a touch screen.

I have an issue with crackling speakers and the all the drivers are up to date, the computer updates are up to date. Should I troubleshoot some more or take it apart. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

My touch screen was working and then all the sudden it quit. I tried the human interface and there is nothing for the touch screen

me too. I was just using it and it died. I had to use a stylus which was PAINFUL. I hope somebody finds a way to fix this.
