Turntable Will Not Power On
The turntable does not respond to power.
Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure the power adapter is plugged in and the power light comes on when the volume knob is turned. If the turntable does not come on, you may need a new power adapter.
Faulty Knob
If you turn the knob and it does not move, or if you fail to hear a click, the knob may be faulty. First remove the knob, inspect it, then put it back on. If you notice any faults, or if the knob still does not work, try replacing it.
See the Volume Knob Replacement Guide on how to remove and replace the knob.
Distorted Sound
The record sounds like it is muffled, missing tones, or changing speed.
Record Motion Is Obstructed
If the record player sounds like the speed is fluctuating or the sound is warped, make sure there is nothing obstructing the record motion. (Basically, make sure the back of the player is at an angle where it is not toughing the record.)
Belt Is Soft
If the record player sounds like the speed is fluctuating or the sound is warped, try replacing the belt with this guide.
Needle (Stylus) Needs Cleaning or Replacing
If your record has developed a static sound, is missing tones, or sounds muffled, the needle might be broken or grimy. Try cleaning or replacing the needle.
Unintended Variation in Speaker Volume
The speakers on your turntable experience changes in volume at random times.
Test the Speakers
If this is a problem with the speaker, it will persist even when playing music from an external device. Try playing music from an external device.
Needle (Stylus) Needs Cleaning or Replacing
If speaker volume variation does not persist, it may be due to an issue with the needle. Click here for instructions on replacing the needle.
Needle (Stylus) Replacement Guide
Record Not Spinning
Your turntable fails to play the record because it is not spinning.
Belt Fell Off or is Broken
If the record is not spinning, it is possible that the belt on your turntable is either broken or is not attached to the turntable correctly. Remove the record and platform in order to check the belt. If the belt is attached incorrectly, reattach it in the correct manner. If it is broken, use this guide to replace the guide.
Record is Spinning too slow/ too fast
The sound projected from your turntable is too slow or too fast.
The Pitch Knob
If your turntable is playing music too fast or too slow, check the speed on the record and be sure that the correct setting is selected using the knob. If the correct setting is used, it is possible that your belt needs to be replaced. See this guide in order to replace your belt.
My Turntable is Spinning Backwards
The turntable is not spinning in the correct direction.
Power Adapter
Check the specifications on your Power Adapter. If it is a Third-Party adapter, the polarity may not be suitable for your device. The Model of the original Power Adapter that comes with the turntable is Model RHD35-0900400. If you cannot find this model, a Power Adapter with the following specifications should be used:
Input- AC 120V 60Hz 7w
Output – DC 9v 400mA
*with Positive Polarity

this says to make sure the back of the player is at an angle where it is not toughing the record, but there is no angle at which that is possible with a normal sized record - is there a way to loosed the hinges or something?

I have a different problem and I can’t find any information on what needs to be fixed/replaced. My problem is that when it’s on the mode in which to play a record the platter immediately starts spinning while the needle is in the resting postion, which it didn’t do before. Help.

I just got my unit for Christmas and the turn table will not spin. I checked the belt as per the instructions and it is installed correctly. It appears that the motor is not engaging the arm to move the belt. Is there an easy fix for this or is it a bad unit?

I received my record player as a birthday gift. It worked fine then, when I put it away for a little time the speakers stopped working. I bought speakers, but when I plug them in it stopped spinning. The headphone jack doesn’t work either. Any suggestions?

Hi. Our records don't clear the sides but sit on top of the edge of the player and therefore has no freedom to spin. Please help. Naomi

So I have the light purple Crosley Cruiser Deluxe Stereo Turntable - CR8005D-TU except when I turn it on and try to connect my phones bluetooth to it, it shows a bluetooth name RT-09 and fails to show the normal “crosley” bluetooth name. The blue light blinks for some seconds then will connect to something, but my device fails to show it’s connected to the crosley. nothing else is around to connect to my record player so i’m super frustrated as I can no longer connect bluetooth. I’ve tried turning bluetooth on/off, turning my phone on/off, switching the bluetooth to the record mode and back, i’ve tried everything. It was working since yesterday evening and now it is failing again. The only solution that worked was unplugging it for months at a time and hoping it works/worked when i turned it on again and it did. Any help anyone????

when I try to turn on my Crosley it won’t play anymore. The record does not spin and I have heard 2 pop sounds come from the inside… I’m not sure if it has to do with the belt? I’ve had my Crosley for 2 years and would use it occasionally. But I’m just not sure where the pops came from??? The model I have is the CR8009A-DU

I have a Crosley record player, I turn it on and touch the stylus, sound is heard. The belt is in good shape, however the turn table doesn't turn the record. What can I do next?

I just got my record player, and it was working before, I think I messed it up but I don’t know how. Basically, the turn table won’t turn anymore, and the belt is fine there’s nothing wrong with it, and when I move the needle out of its resting position it starts making a weird sound. Please help!

Diane Stradling - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I have a problem. It has very low or no power at all. When I turn it ON, the red light is just fading.

my problem is that when the player is in phono mode, the light flashes blue like it’s searching for a bluetooth device even though it’s not set for it, and causes the record to stop playing.

The tone arm slides across the album and won't play, how do I fix that
Colleene - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
We have the same issue. Help!
Music lover -
I am also having that issue! I just took the thing off and check the belt and that fine it seems like the record is not up high enough like it's not getting the weight of the arm pressing down on it and I cleaned that and lubricated it for science and it seems like a good idea but that did nothing for me so yeah it seems like if it were the record sitting up slight bit higher it would get the weight that it needs but I took the thing off and I'm not seeing or hearing anything that's fallen into the casing and it wouldn't couldn't have gone anywhere else so I'm stumped y'all have y'all had any luck yet I'm not sure how long ago y'all posted

Iv just got my daughter the crosley cr8005f and the turntable is jumping so it won't play the records it bounces the needle off what can I do to fix it

Colleene here again, is anyone getting a reply? I am trying to to make this work but the arm still slides across the album
Colleene - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Mine is doing the same exact thing! I thought maybe it was the piece that lifts the arm is right at the base of the arm and the lubricant seem kind of sticky and so I cleaned and got that moving smoothly and that is not at all it. I thought maybe it seems like perhaps the record is not sitting up as high as it should be and therefore it's not receiving appropriate downward force from the arm to catch the grooves and play the record rather than just slide across it as if there's nothing there.. took the plate off and that was not a thing I don't believe as there's nothing loose inside anyway nothing rattling nothing floating you know I'm putting the belt back on you can't even play it back on I wish that crosley would answer this question cuz I'm clearly I'm not the only one good to have validation but not able to listen to the record I just really want to hear and cannot access anywhere but vinyl. Come on Crosley, don't do us dirty like this, help us out here man l, we CAN'T be the only ones w this issue.😭

Mine won’t come on at all! I tried 6 different adapters, 4 different outlets, and even bought a new cord although. The knobs still click when turned but no sound comes and no lights turn on.

Hello. I have Crosley, and I have an echo or almost like a second track that is playing at the same time.. I am not sure how to make that go away. I just got it last night for christmas.

Noa - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Arm skids across entire LP, obvs arm is down, doesn't matter auto on OR off it, thought could be piece that lifts/drops at base of the arm, lube was kinda sticky, cleaned, relubed so moving smoothly NO DICE! Considered perhaps record is not sitting up high enough therefore appropriate downward force is not achieved from the arm to catch the grooves so it's just skimming across like it's uncut vinyl, NOPE. took the plate off, nothing loose inside case or rattling/floating around freely that could've fallen off, cleaned and re-lubed it and put the belt back on for you know science,;made sure everything on the underside was as it should be, one translucent thin shim washer at spindle base. WISH CROSLEY WOULD ANSWER THIS RIDDLE! CLEARLY I'm NOT the only one having this issue there are multiple posts in this thread alone! Come on Crosley, don't do us dirty like this, help us out here, my dude. I already had to immediately send this piece of garbage straight back to you the minute I got it, dont make send it again
