Turntable Will Not Power On
The turntable does not respond to power.
Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure the power adapter is plugged in and the power light comes on when the volume knob is turned. If the turntable does not come on, you may need a new power adapter.
Faulty Knob
If you turn the knob and it does not move, or if you fail to hear a click, the knob may be faulty. First remove the knob, inspect it, then put it back on. If you notice any faults, or if the knob still does not work, try replacing it.
See the Volume Knob Replacement Guide on how to remove and replace the knob.
Distorted Sound
The record sounds like it is muffled, missing tones, or changing speed.
Record Motion Is Obstructed
If the record player sounds like the speed is fluctuating or the sound is warped, make sure there is nothing obstructing the record motion. (Basically, make sure the back of the player is at an angle where it is not toughing the record.)
Belt Is Soft
If the record player sounds like the speed is fluctuating or the sound is warped, try replacing the belt with this guide.
Needle (Stylus) Needs Cleaning or Replacing
If your record has developed a static sound, is missing tones, or sounds muffled, the needle might be broken or grimy. Try cleaning or replacing the needle.
Unintended Variation in Speaker Volume
The speakers on your turntable experience changes in volume at random times.
Test the Speakers
If this is a problem with the speaker, it will persist even when playing music from an external device. Try playing music from an external device.
Needle (Stylus) Needs Cleaning or Replacing
If speaker volume variation does not persist, it may be due to an issue with the needle. Click here for instructions on replacing the needle.

Record Not Spinning
Your turntable fails to play the record because it is not spinning.
Belt Fell Off or is Broken
If the record is not spinning, it is possible that the belt on your turntable is either broken or is not attached to the turntable correctly. Remove the record and platform in order to check the belt. If the belt is attached incorrectly, reattach it in the correct manner. If it is broken, use this guide to replace the guide.
Record is Spinning too slow/ too fast
The sound projected from your turntable is too slow or too fast.
The Pitch Knob
If your turntable is playing music too fast or too slow, check the speed on the record and be sure that the correct setting is selected using the knob. If the correct setting is used, it is possible that your belt needs to be replaced. See this guide in order to replace your belt.
My Turntable is Spinning Backwards
The turntable is not spinning in the correct direction.
Power Adapter
Check the specifications on your Power Adapter. If it is a Third-Party adapter, the polarity may not be suitable for your device. The Model of the original Power Adapter that comes with the turntable is Model RHD35-0900400. If you cannot find this model, a Power Adapter with the following specifications should be used:
Input- AC 120V 60Hz 7w
Output – DC 9v 400mA
*with Positive Polarity

this says to make sure the back of the player is at an angle where it is not toughing the record, but there is no angle at which that is possible with a normal sized record - is there a way to loosed the hinges or something?

I have a different problem and I can’t find any information on what needs to be fixed/replaced. My problem is that when it’s on the mode in which to play a record the platter immediately starts spinning while the needle is in the resting postion, which it didn’t do before. Help.
