Camera won't turn on
No matter what you do, you can't get your camera to turn on.
Hold power switch
Try holding the power button to see if the camera turns on. If that does not work, follow the next several steps.
Drained/Bad battery
The battery may not have any charge left. Plug the camera into an electrical source to charge the battery. Then, while the camera is turn off , remove the battery using the battery guide. Install the battery and try turning on the camera.
Battery inserted incorrectly
Verify the battery is properly inserted into the battery compartment. There should be markings on the battery to show how to insert it.
Is the battery dead?
The battery could be dead, if so, replace it.
LCD screen is black
No matter what you do, the LCD screen is black.
Is the camera on?
Verify the camera is on. If it won’t turn on see the “Camera won’t turn on” troubleshooting guide.
Replace LCD screen
If the camera is on and the LCD screen is still black, you might need to replace it. However, it can be a little hard to replace it; you can follow the steps on how to disassemble the LCD screen guide.
Camera’s LCD screen won’t respond
No matter what you do, you can't get your camera’s LCD screen to respond.
Hold power switch on and then off
Try turning your camera off and then on again.
Replace LCD screen
If the camera is on and the LCD screen still not responding, you might need to replace it. You can use the LCD screen guide to replace it.
Camera’s flash won’t go off
If the flash won’t go off, try to turn off the camera or try to take the battery out of the camera. You can also try to see if in the camera settings the flash is turn on.
Is the battery power low?
Charge or replace the battery and restart the camera. Try again to see if the flash will go off.

Check the settings and make sure the flash is turned on.
Image quality is poor
The image quality has declined from when you first used it.
Is the lens dirty?
Obtain lens cleaner and a lint free cloth. Spray the cleaner on the lens and lightly rub with the cloth.
Focus the camera
Hold the shutter button halfway to focus. Once the image is clearer on the LCD screen, fully press the button.
Camera settings
In the settings, check the resolution. Higher resolution gives better pictures but they take up more space.
Lens won’t retract
No matter what you do, you can't get the lens to retract.
Reboot the camera
Take out the battery and wait five seconds. Then, put battery back in camera. Turn it on and see if it retracts. To see how to take out the battery you can follow Battery Guide.
Clear debris
If there is debris in the camera lens, remove from lens by using a can of compressed air.

Can't save photos to SD card
No matter what you do, you can't get your pictures to save.
Is the SD card in the camera?
Verify the SD card is inserted the correct way into the camera. In order to find where the SD card is located, follow these steps here!
Won’t write to the SD card
Check to see if the switch on the SD card is set to "don’t write on" or "lock." If so, unlock the SD card.
Sound won’t play during video mode
No matter what you do, you can't get the sound to play.
Camera settings
Check the settings to verify the sound is turned on.
Replace speaker
The speaker may be broken, if so, replace the speaker.
