Microphone has static/feedback when on
When using the microphone on the headset, there is a constant buzzing noise in the background. There also could be an echo of either game or chat sound
Audio settings out of proportion
Increase or decrease the game volume using the knob on the back of the right earmuff. Control the ratio of chat to game volume using the buttons on the side of the right earmuff. The programmed audio settings may be incorrect, so see the update firmware section.
Microphone placement
The microphone is picking up sound from another set of speakers, creating an echo or feedback loop when it is turned on. Move the mic farther away from the headset’s speakers or turn the volume down to fix this issue
Damaged Speaker
The headset’s speaker(s) might be damaged or broken. See the guide here on how to replace them.
Firmware not updated
The device firmware may be outdated. Download the latest version of the firmware from the official website and follow its instructions to update your headset’s firmware.
Headset does not turn on when button is pushed
Pressing the power button on the headset does not turn it on despite the headset being fully charged
Headset out of battery
The base station may not be charging the headset. Make sure the base station is plugged in and that the charging indicator LED is green. Place the headset in the base station so that the metal pads on the bottom of the headset touch metal pads on the base station. If LED indicator does not turn on, see the guide here on how to replace the base station’s motherboard.
Base and Headset not paired
Align the microphone with the mic slot on the left side of the base station, then place the headset in the base station so that the metal pads on the bottom of the headset touch metal pads on the base station. The battery status indicator LED will be on when the pairing is complete.
Base station in incorrect mode
There is a switch on the side of the base station which toggles between PC and Console mode. Make sure the switch mode corresponds with the platform you are using. The Xbox One base station is incompatible with the PS4, so make sure the base station is for the right console.
Firmware out of date
The device firmware may be outdated. Download the latest version of the firmware from the official website and follow its instructions to update your headset’s firmware.
No sound
The headset will turn on but no sound comes out of its speakers.
Damaged Speaker
The headset’s speaker(s) might be physically damaged or broken. See the guide here on how to fix or replace them.
Faulty battery
Your headset might have a short battery life or turn off randomly and need its battery replaced. See the guide here on how to replace the headset’s battery.
Inadequate charging time
Charge the headset to at least 80% before use to prolong battery life. Also consider charging after every gaming session. If there are still problems with battery life, consider replacing the battery. See the guide here on how to replace the headset’s battery.
Can’t connect to Wifi
The headset or base station cannot communicate with each other or the console/PC
Wifi is off
Your wifi router or modem might be malfunctioning and not be broadcasting correctly. Double check that your wifi is working and contact your service provider if you have issues getting it online.
Out of Range
Your headset might be outside the recommended range of the receiver. Reconnect the headset to wifi by moving within 15 ft of the transmitter.
Broken Transmitter
If your wifi is working and your headset is within range, your transmitter might be broken. Consider replacing your headset or base station motherboard. Click here for a guide on replacing the base station motherboard or here for a guide on replacing the headset motherboard,.

That’s probably the hard reset. On the Headset hold down the button (just below the power switch) + hold down “game” button {on the earcuff} for 10 seconds and let go. It will hard reset and turn on.

Mine has done the exact same thing did you find a solution?

Two issue fixes I’ve found on the A50 wireless + base station are 1. hard reset will fix the power light issue. 2. No sound. I unplugged the base station power cord for several seconds then plugged back in and my sound returned.

I purchased the Astro a50 Halo edition. The issue I have is even when fully charged the headset will randomly turn off after a short while of use. I have the chat cable connected and the light on the astro logo stays on, but the headset is off. When I press the power button it turns on and everything works fine, but then turns off again after a few minutes… How do I troubleshoot this?

Bought brand new Black & Gold A50s updated them. Added my free Dolby Atmos sub and now they arnt paired to the base station. I've written Astro Gaming, they only responded with an email.
I've hard reset the headphones multiple times. But they still won't reconnect to the base station. Anyone know of a solution ?

Periodically, there is rhythmic, high pitched feedback that comes and goes, but it seems especially prevalent when I turn off surround sound and switch EQ modes. It fades after a little while, but it returns later. Any fix for this?

I was just using my headset about an hour ago. It was fully charged. When I turn on my xbox it says my headset is connected but the charging station nor my headset say it is on or when it is in its charging station it flashes lights as if it is not on the charger correctly. I have also plugged it in with a regular charger with the same result
