Touch Screen Response Issue
Touch Screen is either hypersensitive or unresponsive when touched
Tablet is Lagging
The tablet may be lagging due to having to many programs open at once. Try performing a hard reboot of the tablet to correct this issue. If this doesn't resolve the issue trying doing a factory reset.
Screen Protector is Interfering
If you have a screen protector on your tablet it may be interfering with the responsiveness of the touch screen. Try removing the screen protector and using the touch screen. You may try another brand of screen protector if yours was causing an issue.
Touch Screen Sensitivity is too low
The sensitivity of the touch screen may be to low and causing it to be unresponsive. Try going into the tablet settings and turning the sensitivity up.
Adhesive is Breaking down
The adhesive that is holding the exterior and interior screens together is breaking down causing the touch screen to become erratic or unresponsive. The screen may need to be replaced to fix this issue. Please see our Screen Replacement Guide
Tablet Won't Start Up
The tablet has no response on the screen after power button is pressed
Out of Battery
Make sure your tablet has more than 5% battery to start up. Connect your tablet to the charging cable for at least 20 minutes then press the power button again.
Faulty Battery
There may be an issue with the battery and it may need to be replaced. Please see our Battery Replacement Guide.
Loose Battery Cable
The interior battery cable that connects to the motherboard may be loose. Remove the case and unplug the battery cable that leads from the battery to the motherboard. Plug it back in and attempt to turn on the tablet.
Tablet Won't Charge
When connected to charger there is no indication the device is charging
Charging Cable is Not Plugged in All the Way
Make sure that the charging cable is fully connected to the tablet for it to charge properly.
Wrong Power Adapter and Cord
Make sure that you are attempting to charge the device with the provided power adapter and cord that you should have received when you purchased the device. Attempting use another charging cable with the tablet may result in the device not charging properly.
Faulty Power Adapter and Cord
There may be an issue with the power adapter or cord causing the device to not charge. Try using a new power adapter that is specific to the Acer Iconia Tab A200.
Faulty Battery
The battery on the device may be faulty and will need to be replaced. Please see our Battery Replacement Guide.
Faulty Charging Component
There may be an issue with the charging component on the device that is not allowing it to charge. Please see our DC Power Jack Component Replacement Guide.
Freezing on Start Up
Device gets stuck on the loading screen after the power button is pressed
Software/Boot Issue
There may be an issue with the boot software. Try performing a hard restart of the tablet. If it continues to get stuck please perform a factory reset.
Sound Distrortion
The sound playing through the device speakers or through headphones sounds distorted
Sound is distorted over speakers/headphones, but not through Bluetooth device
If the sound is distorted through the device speakers or headphones, but sounds okay when played over a Bluetooth device there may be a software issue causing the distortion. Try performing a factory reset to correct the issue.
Faulty Audio Jack
There may be an issue with the audio jack component. The Audio jack is connected to the motherboard and will require replacement of the motherboard. Please see our Motherboard Replacement Guide .
No Sound
No sound will play over the speaker or headphones
Sound is muted
The device sound may be muted. Make sure that the external mute switch is not on. Also go into the settings to make sure the device is not muted in the settings.
Volume is at the lowest setting
The volume on the device may not be turned up loud enough to be heard. Try using the external buttons to turn up the volume to an appropriate level.
Faulty Audio Jack
There may be an issue with the audio jack component. The Audio jack is connected to the motherboard and will require replacement of the motherboard. Please see our Motherboard Replacement Guide .
Wifi Won't Connect or Reconnect
The device will not connect or reconnect to the wifi network
Wifi Network is not available
The wifi network may not be available to connect to. Try refreshing the list of available networks.
Tablet may be in airplane mode
Please ensure the device is not in airplane mode. If it is in airplane mode, go into the device settings and turn airplane mode off as this may interfere with the device connecting the Internet.
Wifi Connection is not turned on
Please ensure that the wifi capability is turned on, on the device. If this feature is not turned on you will not be able to connect to the Internet.
