Are the left and/or right mouse buttons on your ASUS ROG Spatha X not registering clicks properly, are registering double clicks, or click on a delay? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Faulty or Dead Battery
If using the mouse in wireless mode, make sure the battery is sufficiently charged. If the battery won't hold a charge, replace it.
Failing USB Port
If using in wired mode, try plugging the mouse into a different port. If you're using the wireless mode, try plugging the receiver into a different port.
Dust and Dirt
Try using some compressed air or a microfiber cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean the top of the left/right mouse buttons. You could try dis assembling the mouse to better access the bottom of the mouse buttons for cleaning.
Software Issues
Sometimes the ASUS Armoury software not being up to date can cause issues. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Armoury software.
Resetting the Mouse
In some cases, a firmware reset may be required. To perform this, first plug in the mouse while in wired mode. Next, unplug the mouse, then hold down left click, scroll wheel, and right click buttons. Reseat the cable while holding these buttons down. After about 20-30 seconds, you should see a popup to reset the firmware. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Faulty Switches
Consult this guide for a detailed step by step process on how to replace the switches inside of the mouse.
