Riz, Rice is a great first aid, but it does not prevent corrosion. I strongly suggest that you disassemble your phone, check this teardown to help you with that. Clean all your parts properly with some 90%+ isopropyl alcohol, including all the connectors and cable ends. Check for any missing, loose or charred looking components. After it is properly cleaned, replace the battery and reassemble. Re-evaluate for any damage. Hope this helps, good luck.
