LG Dishwasher won' t drain: LG OE (DE) Not blocked?-RESOLVED
LG Dishwasher won' t drain: LG OE (DE) Hose not blocked?
- Removed and cleaned out entire drain hose. Nothing blocked. Even cleaned out the siphon break assembly (White u bend at top left side).
- Cleaned out drain pump. Tested resistance: ~3 ohms. And when it runs it has a good amount of water pressure when draining.
- I ran it in drain mode with vinegar and clean water in a closed loop (e.g, I put the drain hose to drain back into the bu) for ~30 minutes. All good. Flowed away like a water fountain.
- Here is the predicament. It will drain… and then stop. A forced drain cycle will hear the pump go, but it won’t drain water. If I then blow out the line with a compressor from the sink side and have it visibly bubble up on the inside of the dishwasher, it will then drain. But then f I then try to run any normal cycle, it goes for ~20 minutes and then the OE code. So blowing out the “clean” line seems to reset it for a while, but not for long.
- Are there other parts or sensors that could be blocked that kill the drain signal?
Update (11/21/2020)
Solved it myself! The y connection to the sink drain got plugged AFTER I started clearing the main line. Problem intially fixed for dishwasher hose was subsequently transferred to the y connections. Solution… always check all paths before and after you clear the main drain hose.
